Mr. C sat still, anxiously waiting for the kids to start Bohemian Rhapsody. This was by far their best song. This was the one that was definitely perfect and everyone would know. Mr. C's heart rate spiked when Leah and TJ started singing the intro. Cam started the verse and Mr. C saw people start to recognize the song.
When the guitar kicked in for the short about of instrumental time, it sounded great. Then Leah stopped and started the oddest part of the song with "I see a little sillohetteo of a man" and TJ, Cam, Pete and some crowd members responded with the corisponding words. The crowd participation was amazing in Bohemian Rhapsody. This was by far the best song all night.
. . .
After the show, Brendon, Leah, Kyle, and Cam were showered with "you did so good!"s and "you're totally gonna win"s. It felt good to know that people actually enjoyed the show. When Leah got back to the dorms, Ms. Demaral knocked on her door. When Leah looked up from her guitar case, Ms. Demaral squealed and pulled her into a hug "Oh my GOD, you did amazing!" She said and let go. "I didn't know you could sing like that!"
Leah laughed, "Thanks, Ms. Demaral. It's just weird to think that Battle of the Bands has nothing to do now."
"That's a lie. You'll have plenty of fun, those guys are goofs. I gotta go watch my hall. You did awesome, I'm so proud!"
Leah laughed. She wondered what her parents thought of the show.
