The weekend flew by for everyone and before they knew it it was Monday. Leah woke up shaking, Cam woke up on edge, TJ woke up happy, and Peter woke up excited.
Kyle woke up nervous, Brendon woke up practically having a panic attack already, Eric woke up smiling, Andy woke up smug, and Jeremy woke up on edge.
Everyone was driven to the campus for their last week. It was a sad thought to think about, but it was unavoidable. Leah walked into her room and was handed a Red Bull from her roommate and another from Ms. Demaral. "We figured you might want these." Colleen said.
"Thanks Colleen. You're the best. I love ya girl."
"Love you too, good luck."
Mack came in to do Leah's makeup. "You excited?" Mack asked. She was doing Leah's makeup so early because August Rain was going to Oliver Aims (the place they were performing at) first to run through the show, then Highspeed Highway would come and run through their set list, and they would all eat dinner together, then die of anxiety together.
"Yeah, I'm super nervous though."
"Don't be." Mack said "You're gonna do awesome."
"You planning on voting for ya boy?"
"Not sure yet. I'm just gonna see who's music I like better."
"That's good enough for me."
Mack did everything but Leah's lipstick, where she pulled out Leah's unopened tube of "Unicorn Blood" by Jeffree Star. "Put this on before the show, it'll look great."
Leah shoved the tube in her pocket and grabbed her guitar. Mack gave her a hug. "Good luck, I'm super proud of you my little first year."
Leah hugged her back. "Thanks, love ya."
"Love you too, smol bean."
Leah walked out of Boland to Duffy, with her earbuds in blasting the set list. This was it. This was really happening.
