Say, go through the darkest of days Heaven's a heartbreak away
Never let you go, never let me down
Oh, it's been a hell of a ride
Driving the edge of a knife
Never let you go, never let me down- Let Me Love you

Wind brushed against the dirty windows, the air whistling through the gaps as the evening light shone through the curtains, creating a dull light for Georgina to dwell in, almost matching what she was feeling. She sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. She didn't know where exactly she was, they had just kept running. She'd tried to do the best she could, but time slipped between her fingers. She had chosen the path of self-preservation rather than a gun to the head. She wished it had gone differently, if they had just-
"Stop blaming yourself," Matt said as he stepped into the living room where Georgina had sat, staring off into space for the last hour. They'd found a house to lay low for the night and the most part of the next day. As night began to fall, it would be almost twenty-four hours since Negan had caught them. "There was nothing you could do."
"I feel responsible somehow," She sighed again, guilt swimming inside her stomach, "I basically pushed Lauren to stop the Saviors because of the vendetta I had."
"Vendetta?" Matt crinkled his dark eyebrows in confusion and Georgina just shook her head sadly. Reluctantly, he dropped the thought, "It dosen't matter. You said yourself, the Saviors killed some of her friends. She was bound to face them at some point regardless if you were for it or not."
"I should have known," She mumbelled dejectedly, "I should have told her not to go to Finch. I should have known he'd find out."
Her heart clenched at the thought of her friend.
"God only knows what he's doing to her. If she's even still alive."
Matt sat down beside Georgina, his cocky and flirty demeanour falling as he felt the sudden need to comfort her. That somehow in the midst of all this, her happiness and life had become his responsibility. For some reason Matt wanted to see her smile. His shoulder brushed against hers, and they fell into a comfortable silence as the memory of the night before replayed in their heads.
"It's here!" Georgina called to Matt, bounding down the dark road towards the gates of Greenview that stood less than a hundred meters from where she was standing.
"I better be heading to your bed after this long walk," He chuckled and Georgina scoffed, but she felt the heat rise beneath her skin.
She took of in a sprint towards the gates, not even hearing Matt as he called her name. She was almost there, she could almost touch the metal gates and the stone wall that surrounded it. Before she could step up to them, she was knocked to the ground, her body hitting the hard, dry ground. The air was knocked from her lungs and she winced.
"Stay down!" Matt hissed and Georgina complied, a spark of fear igniting inside her veins. She followed his gaze, his warm breath tickling her ear.
Headlights shone through the dark, approaching the gates of Greenview. The motorbikes and cars screeched to a halt at the foot of the metal gate, the men piling out with their weapons in hand. They each opened the car doors, pulling out people Georgina recognised as her friends, her group. She could see Daryl, his will to fight crumbled with the bullet that still sat in his arm. He looked weak and sickly pale. She felt the air grow thicker and it harder to breathe.
