Chapter 5

ADRIAN'S P.O.V


How should I do this? I paced back and forth trying to figure out how to approach (y/n) this Valentine's Day. I had gotten her her favorite chocolates, favorite flowers, and even a with a green gem in it. I know she's going to love it but, I need to be subtle and calm. All my thought went back to that kiss. Her soft lips against mine was bliss. I never realized it before but I actually do care for her. Not as a brother would his little sister but as a boyfriend would his girlfriend. If I asked her out for real, would she say yes? No. She is in love with Cat Noir, not Adrian. I continued to pace back and forth when I received a text from (y/n). It read:

                                                    "Hey, u'll nvr believe wat happened!"I smiled knowing what she was going to say and replied:                                         "Wat happened? Did u find ur missing shoe!?"A few moments later she replied with:                                                  "Ha ha! No, something better!"
                                                         "I kissed Cat Noir!"
                                                         "It was amazing!"
                    "I wish I knew who he really is, I would go out with him on the spot!"

She would go out with the guy behind the mask? Maybe if I did tell her... No! It might put her in danger. I promised to keep her safe, and that is exactly what I will do! I replied:

                                                                 "But you have me."
                                                       "Wat about our relationship?"She replied:                            "U mean the fake relationship that is based off rumors?"

                                                 "Yeah, wat I'm not good enough?" I joked.

                                                                    "Lol! oh, I gtg. ttyl!"

                                                                                   "Bye."

After that I threw my phone on the couch and looked at the gifts. Was this all too much? Probably. Do I care? A little. Now, how should I do this? Should Cat Noir deliver them...? Or half? I got it! I'll give (y/n) a rose and the chocolates and Cat Noir will deliver everything else! Ok this should be perfect! I texted (y/n) to meet me at the park under the cherry blossom tree tomorrow when she is free. She replied with an "okay" and a smile emoji. Now all I have to do is show up and give her the gifts. This should be easy.

     Valentine's Day! Time for the plan. I took a shower and put on decent clothes. I made my way to the park and sat in the shade under the cherry tree. Every five minutes I would check my phone to see if (y/n) had texted. Nothing. It was getting late and finally she texted me saying she was on her way. Soon she came in a .
"Sorry,"she apologized, "I just came from a photo shoot."
"It's alright." I smiled.
"What did you call me here for?" I pulled out the gifts.
"Happy Valentine's Day." (y/n) had a smile on her face, her cheeks turned a rosy pink color.
"You didn't have to get me anything, Adrian."
"I wanted to." Her cheeks turned a darker shade of pink. She gave me a hug and she smelled of strawberries and lilacs. (y/n) held my hand and led me to the swings. I pushed her lightly as we watched the sun set. Should I tell her? Should I confess? No, it's still to early. It was dark and I remembered that Cat Noir still needed to make an appearance. I walked her home. It was a bit chilly so I gave her my jacket. The walk was filled with laughter and great memories. We got to her doorstep and (y/n) invited me in. I had to decline and make an appearance soon. After, she closed the door I ran behind a huge dumpster and transformed to Cat Noir. I climbed up the wall and stood on the ledge. I made sure I had the gifts, especially the ring. I then knocked on the window and (y/n) was surprised to see me. I smiled as I crawled through the window and sat on her bed.
"Hey, Kitten. Miss me?"
"Uh... Yeah." she stuttered. I chuckled.
"Well I have another gift for you." I held up the small box with the ring inside. She tried to reach out for it but moved it from her grasp teasingly.
"If you want it, you have to try and get it."
"Fine." Every time she was close to grabbing it I always moved it away farther. We continued this for a while, laughing in the process as we had fun. (y/n) finally grabbed it and was about to open it. I carried her and pinned her down on her bed as we both panted. Our eyes locked and I felt heat rising to my cheeks.
"You can have it..."I said. "If I can kiss you again."
"Well, first tell me what's in the box."
"Something." (y/n) rolled her eyes at my comment. "Deal?"
"Hmm... I may have to think for a while..." she teased. "Fine, deal." I leaned in and gave her a kiss on her jawline and whispered in her ear,"This was fun. Imma have to come every night now." I let her open the box. Her eyes were wide and her mouth gaped open.
"It's beautiful." she said in a soft voice.
"I knew you'd like it. I have to go now my little kitten." I gave her a quick kiss goodbye and jumped out the window.
