Chapter 18

YOUR P.O.V


I made my way home after thinking a lot on how to get my old life back. As soon as I stepped inside my house, I saw luggage all at the front door. Anxiety rose as I thought my dad would be leaving me all alone.
"Dad!" I called out. He came out from the living room with another luggage. He smiled.
"Good you're here. I wasn't sure if you were going to get her on time," he said," I talked to your manager and she said that you have 1 week off so we could go on our trip." I relaxed a bit when he said "our trip", but I was still confused.
"Where are we going?" I asked. A smile appeared on his face. I have never had enough time with my dad, so I was excited to be with him for a week without having to worry about my job and school. The only thing that had me worried was if Ladybug would be fine without Cat Noir.
"We are going to... America!!! I hear they're 4th of July is all about fireworks and stuff. Our plane should be leaving in 2 hours."
"America?!" I was excited to get out of the country and expore a new one, but being that far from home made me queasy.

We left and got on the plane. I made sure Plagg was with me at all times. I didn't have time to say bye to any of my friends. Not even to Adrian. On the plane, we had the luxury of 1st class seats. It was amazing! The food not so much. My dad and I talked so much and played eye spy. We looked out the window and thought ours elves as giants walking above punny people. We made fun of how the little people were ants from up here.

When we finally landed it was the evening and 2 days before the 4th of July. I was finally able to text all my friends and tell the about my last minute trip to America with my dad. All their responses were the same:

                                                                              "Thats so cool!"
                                                                 "Bring me back a souvenir!!!"I laughed at their replies and promised I would. My dad and I went to an IHOP and ate all that we could. It was really good and pretty expensive. We then went straight to a hotel my dad booked for us and went to sleep. This time change is really tripping. In America its like 6pm and in France it would be 3am! We both fell asleep on the queen size beds and in the morning we would go sightseeing.
