"A dream?" Levi sits up while holding his head in pain.
"I'm already on the ship?" He exhaled as he gazed out the window and saw the ocean.
"[Name]?!? Shit, it's past midnight!" He hurried out of the room and out to the deck. The celebration was in full force. He spotted Eren and hurriedly approached him.
"Eren! Where is [Name]?"
Levi was astonished when Eren gestured to the crowd. There you were, without any clothing except a few strings fastened to your body. Everyone on board was watching you dance while talking loudly and in whispers.
"Oh my, I can see everything when she raises her leg like that." Says a woman.
"Sure wouldn't mind dancing with her at night." Some man said with a smirk, and Levi was angry.
"I attempted to stop this, but [Name] wouldn't listen." Eren sighs.
"Dance properly!" Petra shouts as she watches the performance in front of her from a chair while laughing.
"In that condition? Her legs are probably killing her!"
"Petra found out about the two of you, so someone must have told her. It appears that Petra forced her to dance as payback by dressing her in that manner. [Name] is most likely doing it for you." Eren says, and Levi is now enraged.
"[Name]...."
"OK, enough already! Stop this!" Levi yells, the music stops, and he quickly approaches you.
"No, you're a prince! You shouldn't be seen with me!" Levi snatches your hand and pulls you in close. "People will say things, and your reputation will be ruined." He covered your naked form with his jacket.
"How many times must you stop me, Levi?" Petra stamps the floor with her foot.
"[Name] is not feeling well; I should take her to a quiet place so she may rest." He picks you up in bridal fashion, he says.
"There is no need for you to do that! A whore of low birth like her? How many times do I have to say it? You're engaged to me, so how can you care about her so much?" Petra screams, her eyes nearly bursting from their sockets.
"I love her, that's why," Levi exclaims.
"Levi!" You gasp and shout.
"This is something I can no longer do. I can't love you secretly. Petra, I won't forgive you if you try to harm [Name] once more." Levi spoke while giving her a deathly gaze.
"What did Lord Levi just say? With that dancing girl?" People on the ship began conversing and whispering as a result of their shock.
"Ah, he said it." Eren chuckled.
"I should be the one who will not forgive you! You're a prince, so why do you choose to shame me so badly?" Petra screams.
Levi turns and begins to walk away. "Do as you please, but if you ever try to hurt her again, I'll fight you with everything I've got. I'm glad I found out who you were before we married. You would have made a shitty queen." With you in his arms, Levi turns and leaves.
"Levi! How come you did that? What will happen to you now?" You say, and he smiles a little.
"I'll probably be exiled or disowned."
"I'm glad I'll be able to spend time with you......" With you in his arms, Levi collapses to the ground before he can continue his sentence. "LEVI!"
"Oh my, his condition is worsening..."
"Erwin! Levi is acting this way because his life energy is running low, correct? What could I do to help?"
"For humans, life force is highly significant. They must have it to survive. Whatever it was Levi was providing you, he couldn't fully supply it. His life has been cut short in its whole. He probably doesn't have much time left, poor guy." Erwin smirks, and you gasp, tears streaming down your cheeks.
"He's going to die...?"
Erwin hurls a knife your way. "It might as well be over now. In either case, he won't live."
"So I have to kill him? I have to go back to being a mermaid without Levi at all?"
"So why don't you both die together?" Erwin remarks while grinning nefariously.
"What?"
"If you pass away together, your souls will float along for all of eternity. You can stay together forever in this way. Although mermaids don't have souls, I'll come up with a solution."
"I knew you were a crude woman, but you say you're a mermaid?" With a crazed expression on her face, Petra approaches you. She takes hold of your wrist and grabs the knife.
"A monster, you are! What have you done to Levi?"
"EEK!"
"You must have played some games, right? There's no way a person like me could fall to a monster like you! A monster, you are! No culture, no refinement, nothing positive at all! Everything would have been perfect if you hadn't interfered! I wish you hadn't come over here..."
She attempted to stab you while raising the knife. Eren tried to rush up to save you, but the unthinkable occurred. "Petra, stop it!"
Everyone gasped. You weren't the one Petra stabbed; it was Levi. He protected you from the assault in some way. Petra screamed and threw the knife to the ground.
"NO...WHY...THIS IS NOT MY FAULT!"
You just sat there in shock and silence. You fixed your gaze on Levi as his body fell to the ground motionless. "Levi....? Levi..." The floor was covered in his blood.
All of a sudden, your legs began to hurt, and all you could see was blood. Then all of a sudden, your legs turned back into your mermaid tail. You had blood from Levi all over you.
You turned to face Levi. "No, no. Please hold on, Levi."
"It was you. You are the one who saved me." He says, straining with his words.
"I'm sorry I misled you. You have plenty of time to get furious in the future, so please..." Your eyes started to tear up, and Levi grinned slightly.
"You did so much for me. I'm glad we met. I love you, my little flower." His hand falls to the ground as he smiles, and he closes his eyes.
"Levi...?"
