first day liz pov

*beep-beep*,*beep-beep* my alarm clock rang me from my dream. i looked at the clock and saw it was 7:00. i dragged myself out the room. i went to go take a shower and do the hygiene things. then i put on my outfit for work. see 2 weeks ago i had applied for a position at a children book company

AS i put on my outfit i thought of how my first day will go. Johann got me a position as the boss secretary. when i was in my college days. i did interns for professors and lawyers. anyway once i was done dressed. i walked downstairs and brew coffee. i looked at the time and saw it was 7:30. i poured the coffee into a thermos. added milk and sugar and headed out the door.

As i got into the car i heard someone say Liz. i looked around and saw George. we haven't seen each other since the peck i gave him. hey i said hey he said. so where you headed off to? he asked me. work i said. how come you never told me? he asked me. i guess it slipped i said.OK well have a good day call me when your shift end he said. then walked over to his car and drove off.

I arrived at monix stock corps. i parked in the underground parking lot and made my way to the elevator. i pushed the 30 button. yes 30. as i reached the floor. i walked to Mr.monix room. i knocked on his door. come in he said. i opened the door and walked in. he looked up at me. good morning i said. morning he said. are you Mrs.brooks he asked.

Yes i said. well since its your first day ill let this be be easy he said. thank you sir i said. he nodded and got up. follow me he said. i followed him he showed me each and every floor. by the time the tour was over it was 10:00. now can you do long hours and early morning's he asked me.

Yes i said.OK well let me show you to your cubicle he said. he showed me to a desk. well this is yours he said. thank you sir i said. now i would like for you to copy each one of these paper he said. handing me a folder. once your done bring them to my office he said and left. i put my bag in my locker. i walked down the hall and went toward the copy room.

I copied the papers and keep pressing button after each copy. by the time i was done it was 11:30. i walk down the end of the hall and took a left. i knocked on the door. come in he said. i have the copies you needed sir i said. well that was quick he said. he got the files and placed it on his desk.

Now type up these files into the computer and faxed them to these addresses he said. i got the files and started typing. as my fingers type speedily onto the computer. i typed and faxed everything. i looked at the time and saw it was 1:00. as i was about to get up Mr.monix was standing right there. i looked at him and he nodded his head.

I waited for him to say something until he grin real big. you passed he said. so this was a test i thought. your typing and working are impeccable in all my years I've never seen such a dedicated and workaholic secretary like you he said. thank you sir i said. then he placed 2 big stacks of folders at my desk. your lunch break is from 3-4 he said. i nodded my head.then i went back to copying and faxing these files.

Soon it was my lunch break as i walked into the elevator Mr.monnix entered the elevator. i pressed the lobby button. it was awkward for the past minute. the elevator was going slow. curses for being on the top floor. it was still awkward. so what made you want to have part in the business field? he asked me. well my mom and dad are part of the business field so i followed my parents footsteps i said. family tradition he said. yes i said.

The lobby bell dinged. thank goodness i thought. i walked out the elevator walking toward the cafeteria complex. it had a subway,chick-fill-a, and a chef creole. i walked to chick fill a and waited in line. i ordered a fruit salad and powerade. i looked at the time and saw it was 3:30. i was trying to think of whether to eat here or go back to my cubicle. so i sat down and ate.

Once i finished i threw away my garbage and went back to wait for the elevator. once i got in i reached the second floor. then the Bell dinged. the doors open to reveal Mr.monnix. weird i thought. come on,come on, i thought as the elevator reached higher. finally it reached the 30 floor. i walked over to my cubicle and started to look for work to do. when work found me.

I saw 4 stacks of folder in my black tray. these were to be typed and faxed. i started working on these documents. once everything was sent it was 8:00. then i heard my phone vibrate. i got it out my pocket and saw George text ed.

George:hey missed you haven't heard from you almost all day hows work?

L:busy,but successful

G:OK well what time do you get off?

L:11

G:OK well ill see you then

L:OK bye

I closed my phone and put my phone back in my pocket. i got the folders and was about to walk out the room. till i saw Mr.monnix i jumped a feet back. sorry didn't mean to scare you he said. no its alright well the papers has been sent I'm just going to go put them in the cabinets i said. i walked past him toward the stocking room. OK now that's weird why is he everywhere i am? i thought.

I put the folders in the drawers. then walked out the room and headed back to my cubicle. luckily he wasn't there,but in his place was stacks of folders. copy and faxed to these addresses. i got the folders and walked back to the copying room and copied and sent the papers. after my 4 folder was done i had one remained. after the fourth one was done it was 11:07. wow i thought.

I walked back to my cubicle and saw Mr.monnix i nodded at him and walked over to my locker and grabbed my things. i make sure my cubicle was clean and locked my door. i walked toward the elevator and saw it had just closed. so i pressed the button and tge door open revealing Mr.monixx. great i thought. i smiled at him.

I pressed the P button and waited for it to reach the parking level. i apologize for today if i freaked you out i never had a secretary who were hard working like you he said. thank you and its alright i said. thinking of you,oooh-ohh thinking of- i picked up the call and saw it was George.

L:hey

G:hey i sent your car home ill be waiting for you outside

L:how did you never mind so OK

Then the elevator shook and stopped. then i heard a buzzing sound. looks like well be stuck in here for a while i heard ,Mr.monixx say. what i said and my phone slipped out of my hand and fell to the ground and broke . i looked at the mess i was in the elevater,Mr.monixx, and my phone. what a great first day i thought sarcastically.

so what did you think butterflies. so now when i update it might take me a while because now im going to fix all the errors and grammar mistakes when im updating. so sorry if its short. so on the side is what she wore to work and the external link is how her boss look. mr.monixx so enjoy butterflies.
