Wedding day

Chapter 19:

Today is the day of my wedding. I put on my dress and shoes as Effie did my hair and make up. She curled my hair and then put it in a bun. She then put a pearl necklace on me. The last thing was a small silver tiara. I wasn't getting married with out my mockingjay pin of course so Effie pinned it right on my dress. "You look beautiful!" She shrieks hurting my ears. I smile politely. My mother walks in and smiles really big. "I love your dress." She says staring in awe. I grin and curtsy teasingly. Haymitch the walks in. I asked him to walk me down the aisle since my father isn't here. Haymitch cried when I asked him, which surprised me. "Ready?" He asks. I nod and get in arm lock with him. I could already here the "here comes the bride" song playing as I step on the red fuzzy carpet. Peeta looked handsome with his black tux and his blonde hair brushed back. He smiles at me. When Haymitch finally gives me to Peeta he whispers "You guys are good together." And now BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH I DO BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH I DO BLA BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU HUSBAND AND WIFE! YOU MAY KISS THE BRIDE! Everyone chanted for a kiss. Peeta put his hand on my jaw and kissed me for a loooooooong time. When we finally pulled back everyone cheered and threw roses at us. (I know you're thinking of Snow now) I caught one red rose and smelled its delicious smell. Peeta grabbed my hand and we both walked down the aisle as people cheered and chanted our names. Once we stepped outside it started raining. I laughed and so did Peeta as we ran to the car. I waved out the window. "I love you all!" I scream. "Have an awesome honey moon!" Effie winked and my mom and Haymitch started laughing. Peeta looked at me. "So ready for your surprise?" He says. "What is it?" I laugh. "We are going to a hotel in the eastern part of the capitol. I smiled because Peeta knew I loved their food, plus their hotels are FANCY! I kissed Peeta one more time and high fived him. "The Melkark team!" I yell. Peeta laughs. "Did you just make that up?!" I smile at him as he pulls me in for another kiss.
