Chapter 6:


I wake up in a hospital bed. My head is bandaged and mostly my whole body is bandaged. I could see shadows outside my room's door. "Don't worry Mr. Mellark, Katniss responded well to all the tests." "Thanks doctor." I saw the knob move and then the door opens. Peeta runs to me and sits beside my bed. "Katniss?" He says. I move my head towards him. "Hm?" I ask unable to speak. "I'm so sorry. I should have never asked that. Then this wouldn't have happened." Peeta puts his head down next to my arm. I lift my arm and brush Peeta's blonde hair. "It's not your fault Peeta don't say that." I say soothingly. Peeta shakes his head. "I'm sorry." He says. I stay silent for a while and then said "Peeta?" Peeta lifts his head and looks at me with those gorgeous blue eyes. "Yes." I say. "Yes what?" Peeta frowns. I take his hand in mine. "Yes, I will marry you." The words escape my mouth.
