Blues pov
I walk down the sidewalk, my head down, and my arms crossed over my chest. A few tears manage to blur my vision as I speed walk away from the hotel we were staying at. No. The hotel that the boys are staying at. Not me anymore.
My lack of concentration on watching where I was going results with me bumping into someone. I start to stumble backwards. Hands grab my arms, keeping me up. I look up and see a familiar face. I scoff.
"What you doing out here Dy- Blue? Sorry. Where are the boys?" Jack questions, frowning as he looks behind me at the crowded sidewalk, searching for the boys. I notice that he hadn't let go of my arm yet. Smart boy.
"Blue," Jack says, "what are you doing out here all alone?"
"Let's not play this dumb game, Jack. Both you and I know what I'm doing out here all alone," I snap, pulling my arm out of my grip.
"So you're just going to run away? In your pajamas?" He questions. I don't answer. But I don't run either.
"I can't exactly go back to the hotel to change first. The boys won't ever let me out of their sight if I go back," I point out.
"Why are you even running away?" Jack asks me.
"Luke yelled at me. So I got mad and decided to leave. I don't belong with them, Jack," I confess, my voice soft. He pulls me into a hug. I stand stiffly at first, then hug him back tightly.
"Why did Luke yell at you?" My older brother asks, leading me over to a park bench. We both sit down.
"Calum and I are dating. Behind Luke's back. He went all overprotective brother on us, claiming he was just trying to look out for me. I snapped and asked him why he wasn't looking out for me all of those years I lived alone," I admit, starting to feel bad. I was a bitch. Plain and simple.
"He really does love you, you know. So do Ashton, Calum, and Michael, as well as me, Ben, mum, and dad. It's just really weird you know. We thought you were dead, Blue. Luke, Ash, Cal, and Mikey didn't even know you existed. Suddenly Luke pops up with you. The last time we saw you was almost seventeen years ago. Mum, dad, Ben, and I see you as a little kid, but you're already so mature. You've lived through so much. Hell, you even gave yourself a new name. Luke just doesn't want you to go through anything else," Jack explains.
I sigh, "I hate it when I'm wrong and someone else is right." Jack grins.
"I know I'm a bitch, Jack. I've been awful. I'm scared though. I get attached to people and they leave. They always leave. I guess that whenever something bad happens or I fight with one of the boys, my automatic response is to leave before I get left. Or to shut them out," I confess, pulling on my sleeves.
Jack pulls me into another hug, "We aren't leaving you, Blue. I promise. Now let's go back to the hotel before the boys freak out even more." I nod and walk back beside him.
