Blue's pov
"This is the first public date we've ever gone on together," Calum states, swinging our arms back and forth as we walk into the restaurant. I hadn't seen the name of it.
"This is the first public date I've ever been on," I add, sitting down beside him. Calum grins and kisses me, making my face heat up.
"How'd you convince them to sit over there?" I question, nodding to where Cory and Adrian were sitting, not taking their eyes off of us.
"I asked them nicely. Although, I'd bet everything that Luke is the reason they're watching us like hawks," he replies, holding my hand under the table.
I groan, "Leave it to my brother to watch us without actually being in the same room." Calum laughs, making me smile. He gets cut off by his phone ringing.
"It's Ashton," he says, not answering. He goes to deny the call.
"Answer it Calum. It's fine. Ash wouldn't call if it wasn't important," I assure him. Cal nods, then kisses me before standing up and walking to the front of the restaurant after making sure that Cory was following him. I sit alone at the table, unable to keep the smile off of my face.
"I don't know. I just think it's kind of weird how the girl they find on the streets ends up being Luke's little sister. It sounds fishy to me," a voice says. I turn and see a pair of teenage girls sitting a table over. They both had on 5SOS shirts.
"I know what you mean. From what I've heard, they haven't done any blood tests. And now she's dating Calum. I bet she's in it for the fame and money," she second girl adds. My throat starts to burn. I clench my jaw trying to prevent myself from crying.
"She's just some orphan off of the streets who wants some attention, Abbie," the first one says.
"I think you're right Leia. I bet Blue isn't even her real name. I mean, what kind of weirdo has a name like Blue? I wish she'd just go back to the streets where she came from. Can't she tell that she doesn't belong with the boys?" Abbie asks. I could feel both of them staring at me now. I sniffle and wipe my cheeks. Then I stand up and walk over to Adrian. I sit down beside him wordlessly.
"Blue? What's wrong?" Calum asks, walking back over with Cory. I shake my head no, not wanting to talk about it.
"Hey Calum. Can we get a picture?" The girls ask, giggling.
"I'll be in the car," I mumble, keeping my eyes on the ground. I rush out to the car, desperate to get away from them. As soon as I get into the car, a few tears slip out of my eyes. I wipe them away quickly and blink furiously, trying to make myself stop crying.
I ignore Calum, Adrian, and Cory when they climb into the car and ask what was wrong with me. I just didn't feel like talking.
