Dan and I have been married for four years now and I think it's time we take it to the next level. Getting a child. I still have to ask Dan about it though..... hopefully it'll work out, right? "Hey Dan?" I asked walking into the game room. He paused his game as I sat down next to him on the sofa bed facing him. "Yeah, Phil?" He asked looking at me. I said, "We need to talk." "About?" he said looking at me. I began messing with the wedding band which is a nervous habit I picked up. "Moving to the next step." I whispered. Dan said, "What next step? We already have sex." I smacked him saying, "Not that you dork. I mean getting a child." "How do you expect us to do that? Neither of us can physically give birth to one. Do you want to get a surrogate or something?" He asked. I said, "I was thinking more about adopting a child around the age of two so then we still have the toddler years but we don't have to worry about waking up every five hours to take care of a new born." "You've thought a lot about this, haven't you." He said. I nodded and Dan asked, "What about the gender and how many?" "I wanted you to pick that part." I said. Dan smiled saying, "I'm thinking just one and a girl." My smile grew bigger as Dan chuckled at me kissing my lips.
