We landed at the airport & Duce was waiting for us. Trent got in the front & me & Talia got in the back

I couldn't help but think the worst. we got to the hospital & we ran to Shug's room

He was on the phone arguing with Darnell

Trent grabbed his phone & hung up. He handed it to me & put it in my pocket.

Next thing I know a code was being called, we were rushed out of the room & into the waiting room.

Trent was pacing the floor. I grabbed him & sat him down. He placed his face in hands.

"Trent, he'll be fine."

Trent looked at me & smiled a little. I kissed his upper lip softly.

I heard a husky voice & I immediately knew it was my dad. I stood up as he came closer.

"Cameron what the hell....oh."

"Dad please do not start!"

Trent stood up, "Cameron I told you to stay away from him."

"No disrespect but Cameron is old enough to make her own decisions."

My dad looked at him & chuckled wrily. He threw his hands up & went to the nurses station.

"Tre you shouldn't have done that."

"Cam I don't care. You're old enough to make decisions for yourself."

I smiled & kissed his cheek. We sat down & waited.

Tre

I held Cameron as she slept. I couldn't help but think about our very short time in Miami. This girl got me on lock & she don't even know it. I would never put her in harms way. I ran my fingers through her burgundy curls.

The nurse came out & handed me a blanket & pillow for Cam. I laid her down on the couch & went in to see Shug.

He was hooked up to machines, tubes all in his nose. I'll find out who did this & I'll kill 'em.

I called Duce to come get Cameron, Talia & me. I needed to get my car & Cameron needed to be home.

Duce dropped me off, I looked back at Cam. She was waking up.

"Cam, Lawrence is going to take you home. I'll come over tomorrow morning, okay?"

"Where are you going?"

"I have to uh take care of something"

"Let me come with you."

She was now wide awake & taking the covers off of her.

"No, you can't."

"You really think I'mma let you go out here at 2:00 in the morning by yourself?"

"Its not what you gon' let me do Cameron. Now Duce is taking you & your friend home & thats that."

I got out the car before she could respond. I knew she was pissed but she need to know when to give in & agree.

Cameron

I stumped up the stairs & slammed my door. I can't stand his black ass!

I dialed his number & he picked up annoyed.

"Don't nobody give a damn about you being annoyed Trent! You go & do some foolish shit like this. You think I don't know what your dumbass doing? What if you get killed, huh? What then? What about me?"

"Cameron don't act like this is a goddamn surprise! You knew this was part of the damn deal! You knew this could happen fucking with me, you chose this shit. But if you can't handle this shit then by all means drop my ass! I ain't got time to be going back n' forth with ya crazy ass."

"Yo dumbass obviously don't know when you got a good girl infront of your ass. I care about you dumb ass! If you can't understand that then fuck you Trent!"

I heard a knock at my front door. I hung up the phone & went to answer it. Trent brushed past me. I rolled my eyes and starting walking up the stairs. Trent grabbed me roughly & kissed me. He placed a firm hand on the nape of neck & kissed me harder.

I broke the kiss. I just looked at him.

"Trent, I love you."

"Finally Cameron. I love you too."

Talia walked in with a grin on her face.

"Now you're both stuck with each other."

"We been stuck with each other, every since she bumped into me at that club."

"You're not getting rid of me."

"But look Cameron, I need to find who did that to Shug & I don't want wanna here yo damn mouth, understand?"

"But Trent."

"But Trent, nothing. I'm handling this and that's that."

I gave in & agreed.

He smiled & kissed me.

"I have to go home & change."

"Cameron wants to come."

I looked at Talia as she answered before I could. Trent at looked at me for comfirmation. I nodded.

I went to pack an overnight bag.

We pulled up to a house a little bigger than mine, he pulled into the garage next to his Rolls-Royce. I hopped out of his Escalade & Tre grabbed my bag.

I walked into his bedroom, a four post King size bed with black satin sheets. I dimmed the lights, took off my jacket slipped into some shorts & sports bra.

I slipped under the sheets & got comfortable. Trent came in and smiled at me.

"Don't get too comfortable."

"Too late, i'm ready to go to sleep."

"Come here shorty."

I crawled over to him, he craddled me in his arms like a Baby. I inhaled his familiar Polo Red cologne scent.

I ran my finger on his chest, he smiled & kissed me softly. I wrapped my arm around his neck & pulled him closer.

We both pulled away.

"I'm so glad, I have you to look out for me Cameron."

"I'm glad I could be the one to keep you in line."

"I don't know what I would do without you Cam."

"Same here boo."

He kissed me again then we laid down & cuddled till we fell asleep.
