"Oh look! Here comes Westorio" Said Amber.
I looked up to see the most handsome boy in our entire school. Tom Westorio was walking towards the school building from the parking lot. He was tall and was the most dashing person you could have ever met. His blue eyes sparkled as he smiled at his friends. With an awesome personality, he was the kind of person every guy wanted to be an every girl wanted to have. He was also the person on whom I was harboring a crush since the time I don't remember.
Nobody knows about my crush on Tom Westorio. Nobody except Amber, ofcourse. But then, he was so popular among the entire town, being a world class swimmer and all. Almost all the girls in the entire school seemed to have a crush on him. He also has some band that plays the most awesome music during our town carnivals.
I looked at him as his friends surrounded him and his tall figure disappeared into the school hallway.
Oh my gosh! Tom....how could you be so beautiful....you are practically stunning enough to kill every girl with your very looks.
"Umm, Stace?" I heard a voice that seemed to call me from somewhere in the outer world.
"Stace, that Tom always traps you in his trance" she complained as if she was the only human girl immune to his magnetic looks.
Suddenly Tom was at the hallway door again. My eyes followed him as he walked to the fountain and picked something up from the ground.
What did he pick? A key?
I was still looking at him when he looked up and smiled.
At me?!.
My heart was at its unknown emotions again. He turned back and left for the class.
Was I blushing? Cause I don't know, but the temperature in my cheeks seems to be lightly rising....oh no!
"Come on Stacey, we're late for class!" I felt someone tugging at my hand.
I stood up and then turned to see shocked amber at my side. I raised my eyebrows in question.
"Gosh Stacey!" she exclaimed. "You're burning with fever"
I quickly looked down at my hands. Good! There weren't any flames on them.
"You should skip school and go meet the doctor" said a concerned Amber.
"I told you amber, I am fine. I already missed school for two days" I said as I walked into the school hallway. Amber followed me.
When and how am I gonna explain to my best friend about my strange fire power. I wonder if she would ever believe me. I wondered if anyone would believe me.
"Hey amber" I said as I sat down in class. Amber sat right next to me.
"What do you think of a girl who could make fire pop out from her very hands when she is angry?"
Amber shrugged. "A girl with fire powers, huh? Sounds like something straight out of superhero comic"
A superhero?
I hung my head down in light laughter. My best friend considers my powers to be super heroic. Only I can't still figure out what a fire throwing girl can do so super heroic to save the world.
"What's the name of the fire girl?" she asked innocently.
Err...Stacey Reynolds.
Just then our teacher entered the class.
I can't hide forever. I am dreading the day when my powers would go out of my hands.
This is a curse!
I wailed. How am I ever gonna cure myself out of this curse?
