Chapter 29

(HARLEY's POV)

He said that he was on his way home... so I should just wait for him ; right?

I look at the dining table.

"Steak, mashed potatoes, corn, bread.." I say while picking on the mashed potatoes. How long are you gonna take?

Picking up a steak, I begin eating.
Another hour goes by and you're not home. Grabbing my plate, I put it in the sink - washing the dishes.

I turn on the radio behind me.

I begin dancing while putting the dishes, and food away. "I'm home Honey!" I hear Puddin say, and I quickly run to him.

"Smells like you had a good dinner." He says laughing.

"I did, but it was boring ; since you weren't here." I say looking down at my feet.

"I'm sorry, I had to do a lot of work." He says sighing.

"It's okay, as long as you worked hard." I smile, hugging my Puddin.

"Hey." He says

"What is it?" I look up at his beaming blue eyes.

"Let's go out tomorrow. We can dance, we can eat, we can have the time of our lives." He says, spinning me in a circle.

"It's up to you Puddin, are you busy tomorrow?" I quickly ask.

"If it's for you, then no - no I'm not busy." He smiles, kissing me gently.

"I should take a shower then." I laugh, "indeed you are, hurry up- go!" He spanks me gently on the butt, causing me to laugh.

(JOKER's POV)

She's taking a shower right now... I head on to the balcony of our home. Suddenly I get a call.

"What is it?" I quickly ask.

"I found one of them, they seemed to have separate. Since the mom of them got killed, they're trying to learn how to thrive on their own. But they still are like babies." He says.

"Find both, once you do- bring them to me please. Their lives are important to me." I say.

"Yes Sir." He says, hanging up.

Dammit! Where could the other one be. I quickly type a text to the person who I was just on the phone with.

It reads: could you send me a picture of the one you found?

He replies: Sure thing.
With a picture of it.

I reply: thanks.

Viewing the picture- "This is the one. We just need to get you your lost sibling." I mumble.

(Music plays as background: the song above)

"What sibling?" I hear Harley coming into the balcony.

"Nothing, just work." I quickly respond.

"Oh okay, there's a lot of stars out today... huh?" She says standing beside me.

"Get over here." I say, hugging her from behind; causing her to let out a small laugh.

Suddenly a cool breeze flows through the night.
She shivers, "chilly." She says rubbing her arms, as I'm hugging her.

Taking off my jacket, I put it over her.

"No! Then you'll get cold." She quickly says.

"Not unless you're here, my little queen of hotness." I laugh a bit.

"Thanks Puddin." She turns around to look at me, as we're at the edge of the balcony.

She kisses me lightly on the lips, as I kiss back.

"I know I've said this a million times, but I love you. You never bore me Honey. You amaze me." I say, causing her to blush.

"We're going to get married soon... I can't wait to be called your wife." She smiles, "I can't wait to be called your partner in crime, forever."

"I can't wait to be called your husband." I smile, but suddenly my stomach begins to rumble.

"Hungry?" She smiles widely.

"Apparently so." I look down at my stomach, then back up at her.

"I'll heat up tonight's dinner!" She quickly runs inside.
