Trixie discovers a young female pilot with the head of a cat who is been washed up on the beach of her island home. The bedraggled pilot has no memory of who she is. What is the pilot hiding and What has tshe got to do with the notorious sky pirate...
'The advantages of all looking the same to you people' said Nathan to Trixie. The other sheep people pulled out weapons from their robes and surrounded the guards. Marcus snarled at them but they held firm.
'Nathan you old dog, well sheep, how did you get here?' said Fox Oswald.
'We have to be quick highness. The pirate attack drew the Navy away. The alliance forces are landing on the sky palace. We are doing it quietly to build up numbers in secret. We only have a couple of hours before the time is up and Harold is legally the King.'
Nathan turned to one of the other sheep priests.
'Radio the fleet, we have the Queen...' he stopped and turned
'You are the Queen aren't you?' asked Nathan.
'Yes' said Kitty, 'I'm the Queen now'. Nathan and the other rebels seemed very pleased.
'Here you are,here you remain?'
'Yes, Here I remain' said Kitty, if a sheep can smile I saw it in Nathan .
'Yan, tell the fleet the Queen is safe, tell Lord Beardsmore to bring everyone in' said Nathan to one of the other sheep heads, who nodded and rushed off.
'Look the real Archbishop' said Nathan as a sheep head in white robes came in. Nathan got to his knee in front of Kitty
'Highness, on behalf of the people, I humbly ask you to be crowned our Queen'
'Sure' said Kitty.
'err' said Nathan.
'I consent' said Kitty again more royally.
'Hold this' said one of the other sheep handing Trixie a large crown made of gold and covered in jewels. The crown was so heavy Trixie had to hold it with both hands.
'She should be on the throne' said the real Archbishop.
'They don't make this easy do they?' said Fox Oswald.
'To the throne room. Tan, Tethra, Sethra cause a diversion in the east tower, draw Harold and the guards away from the throne room, Pip, Methra come with me' said Nathan.
As they walked to the throne room Fox Oswald noticed something through the windows.
'Look' he said pointing.
In the sky, Trixie saw a number of airships and flying boats.
'That's Lord Beardsmore and the alliance planes' said Nathan. Trixie, climbed up and saw the tail fins of the planes and airships had a circle, eyes with two triangles arranged as ears.
'They thought you would like the sign' said Nathan.
'Very nice' said Kitty.
'Look there's more over there!' said Trixie pointing to the North.
'No. That's the Navy coming back. No time, we must hurry.'
As they rushed along the corridor they glimpsed pictures of the sky battle happening above them. Smaller seaplanes rushed out from each fleet like two clouds of flies running into each other.
When they got to the throne room, Nathan peeked round the corner and found it was empty. Every dog head guard had left. They rushed to the throne, and the Archbishop began rushing through the words of the coronation. Like a wedding, they needed witnesses, so they had Thomas,Uncle Richard and some of the other Dog head guards hand cuffed with them.
The archbishop had got to the stage where he was lifting the crown above Kitty's head when suddenly there was a shout above them.
'How dare you! Shoot her' said the voice of Harold.
He was high up on the balcony above their heads was Harold looking down. With him was a couple of guards with guns. He pointed his gun at Kitty and fired. There was a flash and crack everyone moved. There was a splat of blood.
'Kitty!' shouted Fox Oswald.
Then Thomas fell over like a tree that had just been chopped down. It took four of them to roll Thomas over. The shoulder of his uniform was red with warm blood. He had jumped in the way of the bullet.
'Don't just stand there!' Thomas shouted to the dog head guards with them. 'she's your Queen! You're are sworn to protect her!'
The dog heads saluted and Nathan threw them the keys to their handcuffs. Their new loyalty was enough to scare Harold away. Nathan got back to looking after Thomas's wound.
'What did you do that for?' said Kitty getting down.
'I was doing my job, my real job for once. You're my Queen and I was protecting you' said Thomas roaring loudly at the pain when Nathan pulled his jacket back.
'You said I could change, and I did. I'm sorry, I wasn't strong enough' said Thomas.
'You! not strong enough don't be stupid' said Nathan.
'When you love someone you should be strong enough to set them free. I wasn't strong enough' said Thomas.
Kitty stood up she was furious.
'Get Harold!' she said 'he was going to the hanger bay!'
Kitty rushed out of the throne room, leaving Nathan looking after Thomas's wound. Trixie not knowing what to do followed Kitty with everyone else.
As they ran out Nathan shouted, 'Highness comeback, you have to get crowned in 30 minutes or your not Queen!'

Kitty still knew her way around the sky palace enough to take a short cut to the launch bay. They climbed up a ladder and, then ended up at the planes. Trixie was astonished at it size, at all the seaplanes hanging like bats in a cave. Beneath them were ten thousand feet of sky until the you saw the city, the island and the sea beyond. Metal walk ways led to each airplane. In the distance they could see some figures running along the walk ways moving towards sea planes.
Kitty ran and Trixie naturally followed her. 'Funny the last time I was here I was stealing a plane as well' said Kitty.
The walk ways were full of holes and you could see clouds and then the ground far, far below them. Trixie was really scared at the view. Kitty jumped into a two seater sea plane and started the engine. Trixie naturally climbed over between the walkway and onto the plane and getting in the seat behind Kitty. Before Trixie could do anything Kitty had pulled a large red lever above her head and the airplane began to fall. For a second Trixie was weightless and she grabbed on the seat belt for her life. She knew if she let go there, she would fall out the plane and there was just a long deep drop below her.
