'So what would you be wanting here Mr Oswald' said the man at the head of the table. This man was a changer with an animal head except his head was that of a spider. Six eyes stared at Fox Oswald and another two at Trixie.
'Arh, Captain Spinner why am I not surprised that you took over when Kitty was captured' said Fox Oswald.
'Captain Firehawk alive? The way I heard it she had drowned horribly in the sea' said Captain Spinner.
'I'm sorry to disappoint, Kitty is alive and we came all way here to tell you to go and rescue her' said Trixie quickly before her courage ran out. All the pirates just laughed.
'Sorry to disappoint you miss but young tadpoles like your self don't get to tell the Oddessa clan what to do. Now tell me, just why would a blackhearted pirate like myself bother to lift a finger to go rescue a silly girl who has a hangman's tie round her neck?'
'She does have a great deal of treasure' said Fox Oswald.
'and you know this to be true? There is a lot of captains that claim they have far more treasure and they actually have'
'What about Captain Rocks he told how he had a mountain of treasure and it turned out to be a box full of photographs' said a goat headed pirate.
'I've seen it' said Fox Oswald tossing the gold to Captain Spinner. The spider headed pirate looked down the gold reflecting in all his black eyes.
'It would take a great deal of gold to make any pirate attack a
well armed Kingdom ship and why would I need that when I've got you'
'What would makes you think I will tell you' said Fox.
'because I've got her' said Captain Spinner.
He nodded and a knife was put to Trixie's throat. Trixie stood her long hair held by a firm hand.
'She's a princess' said Trixie the words coming out of her sand dry throat.
'What?' said Captain Spinner.
'Captain Firehawk, She's Princess Catherine of the Kingdom of Empyrean' Trixie repeated.
The pirates began to roar with laughter again.
'If she's a princess, I'm the queen of Siam' said the pirate Woman to Foxes left laughing. 'Your highness' said another taking his hat off.
'She can pay you with the one coin you can never steal. She has the one thing you want in the whole wide world but can never have' said Trixie before the pirate put his hand over her mouth.
'What?' said Fox Oswald looking at Trixie in confusion.
'Treasure' said one.
'You can steal that' said another.
'If you're good enough to steal' said third.
'She's right' said Fox Oswald getting what Trixie started. 'She has it in her power to offer you the one thing you can never buy with all the gold in the world.'
'What be that then?' said Captain Spinner
'Amnesty' said Fox Oswald.
'Huh?'
'Amnesty, A Pardon, Forgiveness. Legal a letter clearing you of all crimes against the Kingdom. She can grant you all pardons. Everyone who takes part rescuing her tonight can be granted a pardon. Think of it, no more running before Kingdom's cruisers. You would be honest men, free to go about your business.'
