Fox turned to Oliver.
'Oliver be a good man and get James please.' he said and turned to Kitty and Trixie.
'And would both of you care to stand over there on that O'
Trixie looked down. In the wood of the dance floor next to a long bar the words 'Fox Oswald's' had been carved into the Floor. Fox Oswald pointed at the O in his name and rather cautiously Kitty and Trixie moved towards it. The large glass door swung open and through it Five dog heads came in rifles raised. Behind them was the imposing figure of Tomas his bull horns towering above them all.
'You can run but you can't hide' said Tomas triumphantly.
'Oh you're running from Thomas what a surprise. Is there anything else you're failing to tell me'
'Well in the spirit of full disclosure I don't haven't got the ten thousand on me'
'Put your hands up' said a dog headed solider.
Trixie put her hands up, Fox remained calm and walked to the bar.
'Sir, this is my establishment and I never raise my hands on my own premises' said Fox reaching over, grabbing a bottle and poring something to drink.
'Fox! What is all this, I was in the middle of a winning streak' said a man entering the room holding a hand of cards. He was wearing a dark blue uniform of a police man.
'James, sorry to bring you from the tables but I had an urgent matter I needed to discuss with you. I won't keep you long and you can go back to your winning streak, I guarantee.'
'Gentlemen, can I introduce the Mountsorrel's chief of police'
One of the dog headed soldiers swung to point his rifle at the Chief of police. 'hands up'
The chief of police raised his hands.
'I hope you know that for someone in my position this is a highly undignified er position' he said.
'Feel free to shoot Kitty, Thomas to be honest you would be doing me a favour. Look at this tail, but you don't have any jurisdiction here as James will confirm' he said loudly.
'He's right' said James lowering his hands slightly but raised them again when the gun was firmly directed to his heart.
'Hands up' said the Dog headed solider pointing at Fox.
'Twenty five thousand' Fox said much to the confusion of the soldier.
'For a single trip. I could buy a whole plane for that' said Kitty
'For no deposit it's a great deal' said Fox confidently.
'If you think my men won't fire Sir then you are sadly mistaken. I'm going to count to ten then you will die' said Thomas.
'Ten Well I'm going to count to five' said Fox.
'And do what tell a joke?' said Tomas.
'Are you insane ?' said Kitty 'fifteen not a penny more'
'Ten' said Thomas.
'Five' said Fox.
'Ok OK Seventeen but no more negotiation'
'Twenty five - you agreed to fifteen far to easily.' said Fox.
'Nine' said Thomas
'Four' said Fox.
'OK may be I could go as high as twenty, but you need to get us all out of here' said Kitty.
'I hope you realise I don't have any compulsion about killing you ,eight' said Thomas.
'and I don't have any compulsion about charging you and your men double the normal entrance fee. This is a pilots bar there are certain stands to keep up. Three'
'Twenty sounds pretty good to me' said Kitty'
'Seven. if you think the chief of police can stop us then you're going to have a very surprised look on your face in a moment'
'Two, Look again' said Fox.
At this point local police started to fill into the cafe.
'Thank you Fox you saved me the price of a call' said James the chief of police.
'OK Twenty Five, Twenty five' said Kitty.
At this point Trixie's heart began to slam against her chest like a gorilla breaking out of a wooden create.
'Do you remember that list of top ten horrible things that could happen to you' said Fox
'Yes' said Kitty you want to talk about that now?'
'Remember number one' said Fox.
