Chapter 4
Robin and I were in our last class of the day. And it's, going by so slow. "Okay class before you all leave, there is a project that is due this Friday." The whole class pretty much groaned annoyed. And someone said.
"Dude, it's Monday" And, Mrs. Fieldstein replied with
"Dude, I don't care" The class chuckled, "Alright, now partner up." Robin and I looked at each like as if we already knew, we were going to work together. The teacher handed out the assignment, and then the bell rang. Robin and I walked to my locker.
"So we have to do a project, about each other's life?" Robin said, sounding annoyed.
"Yeah, you don't wanna get to know me more?"
"No, I do...I was just-"
"haha, I'm kidding. But I know what you mean. A project on a Monday, Ughhh school." We both laughed, "Yeah, but whose house should we do the assignment at?"
"For more insight, how about both?"
"Oh okay, two days at mine and then two days at your house. Sounds like a plan." I got a text, it was from Chris.
Chris: 2:31pm
Hey, can I come over? It's totally homework related.
Me: 2:32pm
Yeah, but I have a project I'm working on with a friend.
Chris: 2:33pm
I won't bother you guy's, I just miss my bestie. :P
Me: 2:35pm
Haha, I miss you too. Alright, but where are you?
Chris: 2:38pm
Had to walk a friend home, I'll meet you at your house.
Me: 2:38pm
K.
Robin and I finally made it to the train, "What was that about?"
"..Oh, um it was Chris, he's coming over too."
"Oh, cool."
We arrived at my house and it sounded like no one was here. "Hello, mom? Dad? Hmm, guess there not home. I grabbed some snacks and drinks for me and Robin. "K, my bedrooms up this way." We got settled, and right into work. She asked me questions, I answered them to my best ability.
"So, how is it being an only child?"
"To be honest, lonely at time's." I was staring at her intently, don't know why I couldn't look away. Or maybe I didn't want too. *Ding! Ding!* "Um, that's probably Chris..I'll brb." *Ding! Ding!* "Okay, okay. I'm coming." I opened the door, and yup it was Chris. "Hey, come in."
"Are your parents still mad at me?"
"Yeah, but neither one of them is home yet." He looked relieved when I said that.
"Haha, your still not in the clear buddy." Robin came walking down the stairs, "Oh Hey, Robin um. Chris this is Robin." They shook hands. "Okay, now that everyone's acquainted with each other. Who's hungry?" I made some mozzarella sticks for us, we were all talking about things. While doing our work at the kitchen table, "So, what you are saying, Chris, is you would never?"
"Haha, yeah never." Ha, I find that really hard to believe. I could hear the door unlocking, guess someone's here. "Hey-"
"I don't know honey, I told you what I told them."
