Chapter 14
My dad wasn't home when I got here two days ago and he's still not. A part of me is worried but know's he's probably okay. It's Thursday, that mean's Thursday night football. I invited Chris and his girl, I'm guessing he'll bring some of his buddy's. Robin said she was busy, probably with Brian her boyfriend. It's a little odd that after all this time, I've never even met Brian. Hm, maybe she'll bring him around when she's ready. "Okay, chips check. Juice and Pop check. Alright, it's about 5 they should be on their way."
I went upstairs to go put on my 49ers Jersey my favorite team of all time. *Ding! Ding!* "That's them." I went down stair's and opened the door.
"Aye!" A couple of them yelled out including Chris.
"Haha, come in." I stepped aside to let them in. "Oh wow, you all giants fans. Okay." They were all wearing New York Giants jerseys.
"Well, not all of us," Chris said. I was about to close the door, but someone stopped it with their foot. I opened the door to see who I assume is one of Chris's buddies because I've never seen him around. "This is Kalvin with a K." I shook his hand.
"Hi, I'm Michelle."
"Hey, names Kalvin." He smiled, his smile was beautiful.
"9ers Fan? Nice." He had on a 49ers Jersey.
"I can say the same about you." I felt my cheeks getting red, I lead him over to the living room where everyone was.
Everyone was having a good time, the pizza finally got here about 15 minutes ago. The score was 9ers 12 and the Giants 20. But I'm not that worried, my 9ers are like underdogs. No one believes in them and bam, they end up proving everyone wrong. Kalvin was eating at the kitchen table, what a gentleman. I went over to where he was. "Hey." He smiled up at me.
I sat down across from him. He had dark brown hair and electrifying light blue eyes. So blue that you can just get so lost in- "Michelle?" He was waving for my attention.
"Hm, um yeah." I felt my cheeks getting red again so I looked toward the tv way, then turned back to look at Kalvin.
"You were kinda spacing out there, you alright?" His jawline was so chiseled, how does one become so handsome? Ha, like really.
"Um yeah, I'm okay...So, how do you know Chris?"
"We have the same art class, I was the new kid and all. But Chris was pretty cool to help me out a little."
"Right, cause I was going to say like, I've never seen you around. And yeah, Chris is pretty cool."
"Yeah."
"..Well, welcome and if-"
"Woohoo!"
"Yeah!" The other's were cheering, I'm assuming we lost. "Well, that's game ladies and gentleman," Chris said with enthusiasm, haha weirdo. "Mickey, I think were going to call it a night, thanks for the invite." I nodded at him. "You coming, Kalvin?"
"Yeah, just a sec bro." Kalvin got up to throw his trash away. He walked back over to me, "I had fun. Maybe, we can do this again." I smiled up at him.
"For sure, whenever." He smiled back.
"I'll see you around."
"Yeah, see ya." Everyone left and I was alone once again, I needed to- The front door opened, it was my dad he saw me and stood frozen at the end of the stairs. "Hi"
"...Hey, did you eat?" I nodded as if saying something else would set him off. "Goodnight." He went upstairs, and a part of me was relieved that he didn't go off because of the mess in the living room. I cleaned up the mess and then went straight up to bed.
