Chapter 5

It was Wednesday already and I still had no plan, "Earth to Michelle??" Robin was waving a pen in my face, trying to get my attention. I looked at her and gave her a quick smile.

"Sorry."

"You alright?" I really want to tell her what's going on with my family, but I don't wanna burden her, with my problems.

"..Yeah, just a little tired that's all." She didn't push any further, and I really appreciated it. "So, the question for you was. What's a hobby of yours that, you're really passionate about?" She started smiling widely, "Haha, what?"

"Follow me." I followed her to her basement. Which was so nice, padded floors, work out equipment and stuff.

"You like working out. Nice."

"haha, your right but come over here." I walked over to where she was talking about. Now I'm intrigued.

"Oh, wow. You have a boxing ring in your basement. Now that's amazing." I got into the ring and started to fight the air. Then I slipped, "I'm good."

"Haha, here let me help you." Robin helped me up, I realized that she was still holding my hand. She let go of it, so I guess she noticed too. "We should, um probably get back to work."

I was finally home after a long day. And the one thing in the back of my mind was, Robin. Never in my life have I ever been attracted to girls. At least I think I'm attracted to her, hell I don't know. It's just when I'm around her or when we touch or something, I get these I guess you can call them butterflies. Ughh, to be honest, it's all so complicated.

There was a knock at my door, "Dinner's ready." It was my dad. We haven't talked about, the whole situation since it happened.

"K."

We were eating in silence, but then something clicked with me. I think, I finally came up with a solution. "Mom, Dad."

"Yes." They both said at the same time.

"I wanna get a job." They looked at each other, I hate when they do-

"Okay." My dad said.

"...Okay? That's it no, oh you have school. Or no, it's too dangerous out there. Nothing? Really?"

"It's really your choice, but don't do it for us." My dad said.

"Why not? We-"

"Well then no."

"I'm confused?"

"Honey, what I think your father is trying to say is. Yeah, you can go get a job. But don't do it to help us out. Were your parent, were suppose to take care of you." I guess she had a point but, I'm still going to find a way to give them the money.

After school, I told my parent's that'll I'll be looking for a job close by. I went searching and after an 1 hour, I found nothing. Someone was calling me, oh it's Robin. "Hey, Robin what's up?"

"Are you running late? Or something, haha."

"Oh, crap I totally forgot to call you, and tell you I couldn't make it."

"..Okay, are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine just out looking for a job."

"In this chilly, weather?."

"I'm okay, I promise." There was a small pause.

"Alright, well call me if you need anything."

"I will, thanks."
