"Why has everybody gone dead quiet?" asked Shannon as she walked into the room, "Isn't anybody going to introduce me to this gorgeous man?"
Tyler was certain he heard everybody gasp, but when he looks away from Gina to everybody else, nobody seems to be giving anything away. Then Gina stood up, she could feel herself becoming very angry but she was not going to let Shannon see and spoil all her fun, Tyler was now looking at Shannon but there was no look of recognition or maybe he is covering his bases thought Gina.
Gina moved so she was beside Tyler, "Why Shannon, I thought you knew Tyler Miller of Millers Fashion and Makeup."
"Tyler? Tyler!" said Shannon, shit she knew then that she put her foot in it.
"Yes, the same Tyler I was going out with two years ago and the same one you bragged to everybody here that you stole from me because as you told everybody, he said you were better than me," said Gina in a very icy tone.
"She said what?" asked Tyler, "but I don't know her, I did not even know you had any brother's or sister's, until coming out here," said Tyler standing up and moving around to stand with Gina. "You've got to believe me, Gina, I do not know her."
"Well, well, well, looks like little sis got caught out in one of her lies," said Mark sitting back in his chair.
"Shannon, how could you do such a thing," said her mother, "I'm very ashamed you have done such a thing to Gina and now Tyler. You made your father and I believe he attacked you."
Gina and Krissy gasped, however, Krissy spoke before Gina could get a word out, "Attack you, oh my gosh, how far would you have gone. You taunted Gina about how you seduced him, in addition, how he liked the little sister better until she could not handle it anymore and left, then turn around and tell your parents that," Krissy paused for she was too upset to go on.
"Whoa, sweetheart," soothed Mark as he shook his head, he could not really believe what was happening. However, he could understand why Krissy was so upset, she saw the state Gina was in most of the time, whereas everybody else was in the dark, he was the one Krissy turned too when she had to get things off her chest especially the way Shannon treated Gina on her last visit.
"I think you have some explaining to do young lady," said Gina's father after taking in all of what was going on around him.
"Tyler," whispered Gina, Tyler moved closer to Gina and really looked at her and noticed how much strain she was under, he put his arms around her and held her close.
Shannon was watching everything as if she was not there really, she knew that she really had blown it this time, she had not seen the look on her father's face since Mark totaled the car driving home drunk after an argument up with Krissy.
"Shannon we are waiting for an explanation?" repeated her father looking at her, when she saw Tyler put his arms around Gina she cracked.
"Because I'm sick of the way you treat her, you never treat me like that, it is always Gina this, Gina that, look at how beautiful your sister looks in this magazine, I'm sick of having her shoved down my throat," Shannon paused at Gina gasped, who then turned around in Tyler's arms and buried her face into his shirt, Tyler tightened his arms around her, he could feel her trembling and wished he could take her away from this. "You don't know what it is like to have it shoved down my throat. Everywhere I turn, Gina is always there, I just lashed out to hurt her, like the way I was hurting, so when she came home telling everybody about Tyler and how they broke up, I just could not stand it anymore," explained Shannon to her father, angry that everyone was taking Gina's side again.
"Oh, Shannon, how could you, your father and brothers were ready to knock him out for nothing," said Susan.
Gina groaned, "I've got to go outside, excuse me?" she pulled herself out of Tyler's arms and ran outside pushing the screen open so hard that it slammed up against the side of the house. She ran down the path around the cars over to the homestead, but going around to the back and onto the path that leads down to the creek. When she reached the creek, she stopped running but kept moving along the path until she came to her favorite tree, her jacaranda, she gave out a loud sob and sank down onto the ground and started crying, great shuddering sobs that startled the birds out of the trees.
Back at the house, everybody watched as she ran out, Tyler looked torn, Krissy turned to him and said, "Go to her, she will need you, take some food, I'll get some for you, take as much time you want."
"Thanks, don't worry about the food I have a picnic basket in the car. Where has she gone?" he asked looking out the door.
"To the jacaranda, on the creek behind the homestead," Gina's mother answered, "Hurry, Tyler, go to her now, we will talk to you both later."
Tyler turned and left the family behind so they could work out what to do with Shannon and her lies, he went outside to the car, grabbed the basket and a blanket, and started walking back towards the homestead, as he went around the side he finds the path heading towards the creek, he noticed a flock of birds fly up out the trees, seeing this Tyler quickened his steps down the path. When he arrived at the creek, he was amazed at the beauty of it as he kept walking he began to hear a noise, it sounded like someone crying.
Then Tyler was standing in front of the tree and the sight of Gina lying on the ground crying was more than he could take, he placed the basket and blanket down, went over, and picked Gina up in his arms. When Gina felt his arms pick her up she started to struggle, however, Tyler tightened his arms around her and placed her in his lap, Gina buried her face deep into his chest she did not want him to see her like this.
"Sh....It's alright Gina, it's over now," said Tyler as he rocked, and soothed her, Gina began to settle down, her tears that were streaming down her face were just a few now, and the great hacking sobs had subsided to shuddering breaths but that seemed to be less as they sat there.
Tyler stopped rocking and rested his chin on the top of Gina's head, "Do you want to tell me all about it? I always wondered why you treated me as if I had done something wrong. There were days I was so angry and frustrated because I seemed to be getting nowhere," he paused and looked down to see if she was listening to him. He then saw she was staring out over the creek, he continued talking, "In some ways, that is why I turned to Alisa and Janelle," he felt her tension at their names. "I didn't go to bed with them, Gina, I could not, do you know what it is like to go out with a woman but only to see your beautiful face? Or walk past a woman and be haunted by the smell of her perfume, or when I look into their eyes I see yours so green that I could get lost in them and never want to be found." He felt Gina's breath catch and felt her heartbeat quicken, "Tell me, it's the same for you to Gina, that I am not alone in this feeling for you, you do feel anything for me," he felt Gina's breath catch and felt her heartbeat quicken again. "Tell me, it's the same for you to Gina, that I am not alone in this feeling for you, you do feel something for me?"
Gina moved so that she straddled Tyler's lap facing him, her knees sinking into the green grass under the tree. When her sex brushed up again his, she moaned and then gasped as Tyler moved against her. "See what you do to me," he moaned as he rubbed his member up against her again.
"Tyler," whimpered Gina. "I feel the same as you do. I have not made love in six years until the other day with you. I felt like I had come home. I feel like we have been apart forever. Oh, Tyler, I have missed you, I love you so much. I need you; I need to be close to you, to have you inside me," Gina had no control left when it came to now with Tyler and after all, he had said he wanted her.
Gina looked up at Tyler and found him staring at her. "You love me?" asked Tyler. "You love me, oh Gina, that's all I ever wanted, you to love me as I love you, you're the air I breathe. I want to wake up with you beside me. Oh Gina, my love, I adore you," said Tyler as he brought his mouth down to her and kissed her like a man thirsting for water.
