Just as they were finishing Ralph's phone rang, he answered it before responding, "Yes send them up," before hanging up the phone. "The police are here and on their way up."
Stacey could feel the apprehension building as she glanced around, "Is there a toilet I can use?" she asked out loud, wanting some time to herself before the police arrived.
"It's just through that door," Kelly said gesturing towards the door just off to the left, "here, I'll help you get up," Kelly offered while moving to assist Stacey. Stacey prepared herself for the pain as Kelly helped her stand, she gasped as her right side flared in pain as her muscles stretched. "Just stand there for a moment," Kelly said to her, "ride out your pain." Stacey nodded with a clenched jaw as the pain radiated throughout her body. After a few moments, she could release her jaw, carefully she took a step feeling the pull but could move through the pain. Kelly guided her to the toilet, opening the door and assisted her into the room.
Stacey moved over to the toilet she reached down to grab her shirt only to gasp out in pain, "Kelly could you help me please?" she asked as she placed her left hand on the wall to steady herself.
"Yes," Kelly said as she moved over to Stacey, together they could complete their tasks, wash their hands, and made their way back out of the bathroom.
During this time Detective Stanley and his partner Detective Hart had arrived and were in the office talking to Cal and Ralph. Kelly guided Stacey to the lounge and assisted her in sitting back down, before moving away, Kelly passed Stacey her bottle of water.
"Thanks," Stacey murmured before looking towards the police officers. Meeting their eyes, she read compassion but also the determination to get the person who did this to her. "Hi, I'm Stacey Carmichael," she said to them as she took a sip from her water bottle and watched the female officer pull out her notebook and sit in the lounge opposite her.
"Stacey before you start, this is Detective Elisa Hart," Ralph said pointing to the officer in front of her, "and Detective James Stanley," nodding towards the one near him. "They are from the Sex Crime Squad in Brisbane," Ralph told her as he watched her reaction.
Stacey sighed, this was the part she hated, questions, everybody always had questions, goodness knows her sister always has them, and always brings her down with them as well.
Kelly walked up to Stacey and gently placed her hand on Stacey's shoulder, "Are you going to be all right?" she asked.
Stacey nodded, "Just gathering my thoughts," she said with a quick glance at Kelly before looking back at Detective Hart, "what would you like to know?" she asked them.
"If you could start from when you first met Tyler to where you met up with Kelly and Ralph," Detective hart said to her.
"Tyler," said Stacey while thinking about how the night started, "well get comfortable, this will take a moment," she told them.
"Before you do Stacey," Ralph said, "I need to make one thing clear before this begins. The man you are calling Tyler is Anthony Lewis, the real Tyler Miller is currently with his now fiancé Gina Marshwell, at her parent's place at Minden."
Stacey gasped, "His name is Anthony, not Tyler?" she asked, "but what about all the things he said..." Stacey paused and looked around, it then came to her, "he's done this before," she said with a gasp.
"Yes, he has," replied Detective Stanley, "but we have never been able to catch him or get any of his victims to speak."
"Then I'll do my best to help you," Stacey said to them for she was now determined that they would be able to get Ty- Anthony, "Okay, this is what happened tonight," she said to them as she told them what happened.
