Chapter 22

While Sophie was sleeping, they transfer her to the ward and Gina was pleased to see that they could place her in a room by herself, and that was hard to do nowadays, she quickly sent a message off to Angelina giving her the Ward and bed number so that they would be able to find them when they got there.

"Tyler, I'm sure Sophie is talking about Carl," Gina said remembering what Sophie had said about Carl and her relationship.

"I know honey but we cannot do anything about it," Tyler said just as frustrated. "We didn't witness it actually happening, we are only guessing."

Gina sighed, "and Sophie won't name him," she finished off saying, Tyler nodded, Gina sighed again and went back to watching Sophie sleep, she leaned over and rested her head on Tyler's shoulder, Tyler moved, pulling Gina into his lap where Gina snuggled into him, suddenly she gave out a yawn, Tyler chuckled, "Rest love, I'll keep an eye on both of you," he said, with that Gina dozed in Tyler's arm, waking slightly when the nurses would come in to check on Sophie and speak quietly to Tyler.

Gina slowly woke, rubbing she face into Tyler's chest, frowning at the restriction caused by his shirt, she wanted his skin on her lips, she sighed and moved her head up until her lips touched the skin on his neck, placing open mouth kisses where she could, Tyler groaned out low and shifted in his seat pulling Gina close, "Gina," he said.

"Hmm?" Gina asked as she continued kissing his neck.

Tyler chuckled but it ended with another groan, "Sweetheart, we are at the hospital," he reminded her.

"Hospital?" Gina frowned, then everything came back, hospital, Sophie! She sat up and looked around, Sophie was still asleep in her bed, Gina looked up at Tyler and blushed, Tyler chuckled again while giving Gina a hug, "I like the way you wake up," he said in a husky voice, Gina felt it go through her body, god she couldn't get enough of his voice, she blushed again at where her thoughts were leading.

Tyler brought his lips down to her ear and whispered, "We can continue when we get back to my room," Gina blushed again and moved on his lap, Tyler groaned, making Gina freeze, she looked up at Tyler and saw need in his eyes, Gina bite her lip, Tyler groaned and swooped down and kissed Gina, pulling her bottom lip into his mouth gently sucking, before gently kissing her until they were both breathless.

"Well, this is a sight worth seeing," came a female voice.

Gina gasped, "Mum," and quickly stood up and went over to her, Tyler standing up behind her. 

(A/N: Gina and Sophie have known each other since the age of 9, Gina and Sophie call each other's parents Mum and Dad. I have this type of relationship with my best friend, we met in grade 5 and still closely entwined in each other's lives, she is the godmother to three of my four children and I am for two of her three.)

"Gina honey," replied Angelina giving Gina a long hug before passing her to Vernon, who also gave her a big hug, before Gina stepped back, grabbed Tyler's hand and pulled him over.

"Mum, Dad, I want you to meet Tyler, we got engaged last night," Gina told them excitedly, showing them her ring.

Angelina laughed and pulled Gina in for another hug, Vernon reached around holding his hand out to Tyler who took it, "Congratulations, Vernon is my name and that is Angelina, Sophie's parents," as he shook Tyler's hand.

"Tyler Miller, pleased to meet you, sir" replied Tyler as he shook Vernon's hand, next Tyler felt himself being pulled into a hug.

"You take care of my girl," he heard Angelina say to him.

"With my life," he promptly replied while returning the hug.

Angelina pulled back and moved around the bed to Sophie, tears in her eyes as she took in Sophie's face, "Oh goodness, Sophie!" she whispered in distress, Vernon moved over to her, pulling her Angelina into a hug.
