Chapter 26 - Boston

Annabelle's POV

It was Wednesday before the tournament. I could have a better chance of getting a clear advantage against their alliance. We were on the highway to Boston and I got a notification on my phone. "What was that?" Shannon asked. "My phone is just acting up." I said. "Ryan told me that he is gonna teleport with Drake and Luke to the ceremony, so they are all good." "That still works, but we will not need them until the chamoionship game." "What are you talking about?" I asked. "We are gonna make sure Lady Sting and Lady Blaze get #1 and #2 seed by a coin toss." Kelli said behind the wheel. "I just got on the Riptide just to play. My team is not that good as your teams."

 "Yea, I will be back after this tournament so we can get back on track." Shannon said. "My coach let me go undercover until the end of this tournament. I will be here with you guys until the games start. When the games start, just focus on playing. However, I will make sure that Lady Sting makes it to the championship. You, Annabelle, will make sure the Lady Blaze makes it to the championship as well. Then we will get those two wolves by surprise with these." She held up a dog whistle. "This whistle gets out of range from normal hearing." Shannon added. "Kelli is gonna use it since she will not be playing in the championship game on Sunday. Probably use it when one of them is behind the plate and at bat at the same time."

"That is too predictable." I said. "They will be listening to everything around them, especially the umpires. In Madi's case, if they actually have eyes as they call the pitches. I agree with your idea, but it is the wrong time to do so. It has to be when they least expect it. Just be random about it." "You say random, like you actually know what you are doing." Shannon said sarcastically. "I do know what I am doing for once." I said. "Just cut me some slack already." "She has got a point." Kelli said in defense. "Madi is yours, but Annabelle has Madeline to look for." "Exactly." I said. "but we will stick to a solid plan." "What about the concert?" Kelli asked. "Let them have their fun." Shannon said in disgust. "I would just like to hear her sing anyways."

Kelli's POV

"I sense sarcasm." I said. "No shit, shirlock." Shannon demanded. I sighed as I kept my eye on the road. "We're almost there." I added. "Thank God." Annabelle said. "I need to stretch my legs." I then turned on the exit and soon, there were banners everywhere about the tournament. I drove towards the parking lot to where the ceremony would be. There were people directing the cars towards a certain parking spot. Yup. Penobscot was always like this and also at the Blue Hill Faire every year on Labor Day weekend in late August/early September.

We finally parked and Shannon and Annabelle got out. I then got out and locked the car before pocketing my keys. "Shannon, you're gonna roast in those jeans." I said. "Don't mind me." she said. "I will make sure of that. And there is air conditioning in the building." Annabelle fixed her camoflage top which showed a bit of her stomach. "Okay, guys." I said. "Let's find our teams first." "That reminds me." Shannon said. She snapped er fingers and her black tanktop changed into the Lady Sting practice shirt. "What?" she asked. "It's team rules."

We walked into the building and we saw some of the Lady Blaze and Maine Coast Riptide. I also caught a glimpse of a few Lady Sting practice jerseys. We walked around and weaved through the croud to get to our teams. I saw Gabby in the distance. She turned around just in time to see us waving. She teleported over to us. "Omg." she said. "you're here. Welcome back Shannon." "Thanks." Shannon said. "I'm just on the Lady Sting until this tournament is over. We found another singing wolf." "You mean, like Madi?" Gabby asked, "because I know the Lady Blaze is playing." "Yes." Annabelle said. "And that wolf this time is my cousin who killed my cousin. It was five years ago when she first experienced her transformation."

"She killed your cousin?" Gabby asked. "And she is your cousin? How is this possible? I'm confused." "Well, she is my sister's cousin, so it makes her my cousin too. It kinda sucks." "I'm sorry." Gabby said. "So, what is the plan?" "The element of surprise." I said. "We're gonna improvise." "Well, let me know if you need any help."

Laura's Pov

We all met at the front. "Ready?" Madi asked. "Yup." Madeline said. "Just avoid Shannon and Annabelle at all costs and we will not get our asses kicked." "They are in the back of the room the teams are in." I said. "but right now, let's regroup with our teams and text each other." "I'll go with the Lady Sting girls." Jason said. "And I'll stick with Lady Blaze." Brian said. "We will regroup before the concert starts." "Remember your lyrics for our songs?" Madeline asked. They nodded. "Good." Madeline said. "See you guys later." 

We parted with our teams with Melissa and Brian with us. "I just wanna see what's going on with the enemy right now." Rachel said. "I just have this bad vibe going on here." "Me too." Madi said. "I just don't like how we are in the same room as Shannon. Annebelle is part of our team, but it still doesn't make a difference." she fixed her pink flannel shirt as she looked around as well as fixing her hair in the high ponytail. "It looks fine." I said. "plus, you and Madeline will look totally different. She has the Purple shirt with the white jacket." "She must be sweating right now, because I am." Madi said. "You'll be fine once the air conditioner actually kicks in. "Lilly said.

We found the team and there were hugs exchanged. "Where were you?" Becca asked. "Yea, we thought you guys were in Maine." Olivia said. "We were actually in Massachusetts with a couple of friends." I said. "There is a girl on Lady Sting who looks so much like me, it's not funny." "Oh, you mean the singer?" Olivia asked. "Madeline Kilpeck, right?"  "Yeah." I said. "and get this. She asked me to sing a song with her." "NO WAY!!" Becca screamed. "I subscribe to her on YouTube. She is amazing. Second in Massachsetts." "I can't wait." Olivia said. "Me too." I said.
