Jason's POV
__________

We were still in that group chat. Now our objective was Boston. "So, I hear you guys have the tournament in Boston." I said. "Can we watch?" "That's the point." Madi said. "We are thinking of all of us meeting at Madeline's house before the opening ceremony on Thursday." "Yea, I wonder if it's like last year in Syracuse." Madeline said. "Yea, one problem." Brian said. "The umpires are seeing those articles and are looking for the werewolves. They have a peeve about werewolves ruining the games. Each one that transforms gets ejected from the game. It depends on how they transform. They will see if you two have an actual wolf form... Do you?"

Madeline shook her head. "My only transformation is the hybrid form." She said. Everyone went silent. "Wait what?!" Madi said. "What?" Madeline said. "At least I do my research on my own kind right after I find out at the absolute wrong time." "She has a point." I said. "Cut her some slack, Madi." I just stared at Madeline. But she looked like Madi. Yet darker skin... Yellow eyes with black veins around the pupil... More highlights of red and brown... Brown and gold shimmering eye makeup... 'Wait.' I thought as I tried to get back to reality. 'Jason, stop it. You're gonna creep her out... What about Madi? But I can't take my eyes off Madeline... Ugh. Snap out of it, Jason. You're trying to help them, not fight over them.'

'Jason, stop it, I know what you're doing.' Brian said to me. 'Shaddup.' I said back, face turning red. "Are you okay?" Madeline asked. "You're sweating." My red eyes were glowing in embarrassment. "Nothing, carry on." I said quickly. "Ok then." Madeline said. "So, as my psychic powers take me, the Boston ceremony will not be like Syracuse." Lilly said. "They're not giving out team rings. They're giving out medals. There will be contests testing our skills in throwing distance, running, and the battery. Well, I guess you and Allie are against Laura and Madi." Madeline laughed. "That would be fun." She said. "I agree." Allie said. "I would love to see this battery in action." "You're on guys." Laura said.

"Wait." Lilly said. "Before the ceremony, there will be free admission to the place we will be at. There will be food, games, and a concert." "Ooh, who's singing?" Madeline asked. "You." Lilly said. Her mouth dropped. "Say, wha?" Madeline asked. "When will they notify me?" "Tomorrow." Lilly said. 'What? singing?' I thought. 'She sings? I wanna hear her sing. Since when did she sing?' I felt a connection. It was Allie this time. 'You're crushing on Madeline.' She told me. 'Just be careful and don't jump to conclusions just yet.' 'What?' I said back. 'I don't like her like that.' 'Well, Brian told me and I caught you staring at her.' Allie said to me. The connection broke. "So, what songs do you sing?" Madi asked. "Well, I sing some alternative, country, rock, pop, and originals." Madeline said. "Would any of you like to work on a song with me?" I saw Madi and Rachel's hands shoot up. I could sing too, so I did as well. "You sing?" Rachel asked. "Yea, a little." I said. "I don't like to sing in front of an audience." "Well, now we are since you are gonna work on a song with me." Madeline said.

"So, when do you actually wanna meet?" Laura asked. "Well, I was thinking we could all hang at my house in Middleboro on the Monday of the tournament." Madeline said. "I could meet with each one to practice a song. But since Rachel and Jason have powers, they could teleport here before we meet. Here, I'll text you guys the address in the chat so you know where to go. I'm gonna clean the cellar where I'm putting sleeping bags downstairs. If you want, bring yours to make things easier. And bring many changes of clothes because you guys are gonna stay a few days here since you're playing in Boston. When you all get here, we are gonna discuss how we are gonna avoid Annabelle and Shannon. If they start the fight, we know we will finish it."

"You really hate Annabelle that much." Melissa said. "What did she ever do to you?" "I am hiding from her because of something I did." Madeline said. "And I was only 11." "Well, then." Melissa said. "I take it back. Sorry." "Everyone says that to me all the time." Madeline said. "It's not your fault." "So, when are we gonna meet to sing?" I asked. "Well, we have two weeks until the tournament." Madeline said. "Madi, you can come this week. Probably Wednesday. I'll start practicing my songs and a few covers as well. And our practice could end on Friday. Then, Rachel, you can come next Monday. We could work on our song until Wednesday. Then Jason, you can come on Friday and you can stay until the tournament. Everyone is gonna be here that following Monday."

I was surprised. "How are your parents gonna accept a boy with you?" I asked. "They will be away at work when you are here." Madeline said. "They will be back by the Wednesday before the tournament. I planned good." 'Good.' I thought to myself. "You guys could help me look after my dog." She added. 'I'll get to know her better.' I thought. "This is gonna be awesome." Mina said. "I agree." Lilly said. "I'm so excited." "So, Madi, how are you gonna get to my house?" Madeline asked. "I'll have Laura or Lilly teleport me." Madi said. "Alright." Madeline said. "and when we perform our song, make sure we look completely different." "Yeah." Madi said. "Well, you already have the makeup. You could help me." "We'll talk about shopping for makeup later." Madeline said. "Welp, I gotta go." Melissa said. "My mother is gonna yell at me if I'm still up." "Me too." Rachel said. "Goodnight." Their screens disappeared. It was down to us guys and the teams.

"Alright." Madeline said. "I might as well go. My dad will scream at us three if we are up this late. We just had practice, so he has a right to be grumpy." "Alright see you Wednesday, Madeline." Madi said. Madi's screen disappeared. "I'm gonna run home." Brian said. "And my phone is about to die. Talk to you girls later." He then hung up. "Bye Jason." Madeline said. "I'll see you at practice." Her side bangs pulled free from her braid and fell over her left eye. I couldn't help but stare. "Goodnight, Madeline." I said. Soon, the call ended.

I closed out of Skype, teleported to my room, and put my phone down on my desk. I jumped into bed. I couldn't help but think of Madeline. I know she looks like Madi so much, but I feel I could get to know her. I promise to myself I will do anything in my power to protect Madi and Madeline. Especially Madeline. I knew I couldn't fight it. I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
