Lily waited for a whole month.
She was cooped up in the room in an abandoned building for a month. Alone. It was slowly driving her mad. Of course, there weren't any snapping, just thoughts that she tried to push away. She normally sat the corner of the room, huddled with a blanket and hopelessly keeping her sanity at bay.
She never needed food or sleep. It was more for a rest than a need. Meaning, she had no reason to go out. Her skin was paler than before due to the lack of sunlight. Her figure, small and skinny for her supposed age, threading the lines of puberty, looked even thinner and malnourished though she knew that was impossible.
She rarely slept, simply humming a song at night. She liked to think that it was because she wanted to go out and she waited for the day to come.
But she knew she was lying.
She yearned to see Tim again that she was afraid that she would miss the whole thing if she slept. She would look at the spot where they disappeared and hope that Tim would return, a smile on his face, and gently kiss her forehead, promising that everything's fine.
And as always, Lily would be disappointed but she couldn't feel anything anymore so she stared at the room with hollow eyes and an equally hollow heart.
