Today i knew he was there
And for once
I didn't care
My heart was in fact beating fast
But it wasn't it's usual rhyme.
It didn't pound in my ribcage because i miss him
It was just beating because i heard the sound of his voice
Which was just an echo fading as the years pass
It was beating, because he came closer and i felt him near
After years of trying to disappear
But i knew he was there, and I didn't really care
I was laughing, without even trying, with a wide grin my eyes crossed his
My heart was beating, but it wasn't it's usual rhyme.
Because even after the roads has crossed.
I seemed like smiling and avoiding his gaze was more worth my time.
