Once Shawn left I immediately got my phone out and texted Syd I need to tell someone.

To Syd:
Do you have a free period? I need to talk to you

From Syd:
Yeah, I'm in the library, come up!

On the way to the library I saw three girls walking in a triangle towards me. I didn't like the look of them at all. When I passed them the girl in the front turned and spoke to at me. "Slut!"
"Excuse me?" I wasn't sure if I was hearing things.
"You heard me bitch."
Okay I wasn't hearing things.
"I don't understand." I have never met this girl and I don't even know who she is.
She took a step closer to me. "I heard about your little show in the corridor with Shawn last week and just so you know he's taken."
"I'm sorry but who are you?" Before I call this girl out, I need to know who she is.
She crossed her arms "Lyndsey, Shawn's girlfriend."
I crossed my arms, I'm not letting this bitch talk to me like that "Thanks for your concern Lyndsey but I have no interest in Shawn, It was him who showed an interest in me."
She suddenly shoved me knocking me a few steps back. "Keep your filthy hands off of him."
I stepped forward and shoved her back. "Push me again and I'll ruin that pretty little face of yours." I turned around and started to walk away. I'm not wasting my time on this girl any longer.
"Hey Jazz." I heard her say behind me.
I turned back around to face her. "What?"
As soon as I faced her a full cup of iced coffee was thrown in my face. The cold coffee hit my face making me gasp. I wiped my eyes.
All three of them burst into laugher "Stay away from Shawn or next time I'll throw something hot." they then turned and walked away in the opposite direction.

I headed straight to the bathroom and cleaned myself up. Once I got as much coffee off me as I could I made my way to the library. I could still smell the coffee and my clothes were stained brown. I entered the library and sat down next to Sid.
"What happened to you?"
"Someone decided to throw their iced coffee in my face!"
"Who?"
"Lyndsey."
"Stay away from that one, she's a bitch!"
I couldn't help but laugh.
"Why did she throw the coffee?"
"Shawn."
"Why am I not surprised."
I didn't say anything, I just sat in silence.
"I've just been told that there's going to be a water fight Saturday so if you have any water guns bring them."
I didn't say anything and Sid immediately knew something was wrong.
"Are you okay?"
"I don't think I'm going to go."
"Why not?"
I wanted to tell her everything about what happened when I was 13, but for some reason I couldn't.
"Beach parties aren't my thing."
"I don't believe that, you're coming whether you like it or not."
"I don't have anything to wear."
"Then you can come round mine before and I'll pick something out for you."
It seemed like whatever excuse I could make up wouldn't work so I caved and agreed to go.

After school I facetimed Sam, he's the only one I've opened up to about the incident and I've missed the sound of his voice.
My FaceTime rang for a few seconds and then he picked up.
"Hey babe." He said with the cutest smile.
"Hey, how are you?" I asked.
"I'm good, how's Canada?"
"It's not as good as where you are but its not too bad."
"What have you been up to?"
"I went to a party on Friday and made some friends."
He smiled "That's good"
I told him all about the party and me beating Shawn at ping pong.
The different time zones meant he had to leave early.

Speaking to Sam made me feel so much better. It was so good to hear his voice and somehow gave me the strength to want to go to this party.
