Before the three paranormals could start their game of catch up, their attention was drawn to an oncoming and drunk vampire. "Hey you!" He stumbled over to the group and Kenya sobered up quickly, holding down her cup to the smooth surface of the bar. "You're that psycho werewolf bitch!" She heaved a sigh.

"Hey," Rachael intervened, "Fuck off, Hoppus." It was evident the witch was already starting to feel the effects of the drink she'd consumed. "She's only here to have a drink, just like you are. So why don't go back to your table and leave us alone?"

Kenya kept her eyes on the knife hidden in the man's hand. She placed her body in a defensive position and gripped the glass as hard as possible.

"Yeah, man," Will agreed, "Go back to your table before I kick you and your friends out."

"Oh shut up. This is between me and this mutt," The blood sucker spat. Kenya didn't recognize the man, but she could tell he was nothing but street trash, a thug at best.

"What do you want?" The she wolf asked while trying to keep her growing rage at bay.

"What do I want? I want to kill you," He answered her confidently.

Kenya scoffed, knowing he was looking for trouble. All the she wolf wanted was one night, one day, just one fucking hour to be normal, but apparently that was too much to ask for.

"Whoa whoa whoa," Will said, extending his hands out, "Nobody's getting killed here, Mark. Just put the knife down and go back to your goddamn table, would you? This bar is for everyone, not just people like us."

"Let him come and try," Kenya urged, willing to take the man on. Something inside of her was frustrated, agitated, waiting for a fight, no, a kill. Killing seemed so easy, and Kenya knew the guy didn't stand a chance, so she welcomed his death.

"What? No!" Rachael exclaimed, meeting the angry vampire's gaze, "Look, Mark, she just wanted me to answer some questions for her. That's all. We're not looking for any trouble."

"Shut up, bitch," The man snapped while flipping his gravity knife around. Kenya shook her head, not scared at all, but kind of bored. The man wanted a fight, and the she wolf knew this was going to be a quick one. Kenya wasn't scared of some blade, and she wasn't scared of some low-life vampire either.

"It's kind of sad that you need a knife, but I guess I understand why you need it," She jeered and the people inside the bar started to chatter about what was to go on. No one was going to stop the fight about to take place. "You know I could kick your ass without looking and one arm tied behind my back." The man jumped at Kenya and she squared up to him.

"Hey!" Will shouted, jumping over the bar and landing so that he was standing in front of Mark. The drunken man was too powerful, though, and pushed the small business owner to the floor. He then threw the knife into Kenya and it lodged itself into her side. To the vampire's dissatisfaction, Kenya didn't flinch or scream in pain, but merely pulled it out and dropped it to the ground, unamused.

Blood began to soak into her shirt, but it didn't spread like it would a normal person. Instead, the bleeding stopped, and all that was left was a tear in the fabric. Rachael noticed the wound clear up, and eventually close - she was regenerating. When the damage done to her skin finished healing, there was no scar, no cut, not even a scratch.

The man was stunned at Kenya's ability and, within a blink of an eye, a fist connected with his face, causing him to crash to the ground. When he looked up, Kenya was standing over him with eyes glowing a bright shade of red. She picked him up by the neck and brought him back to his feet.

"Now look at what you've done," She whispered furiously, "All I wanted to do was have a good time and you ruined it." Every instinct told her to snap the man's neck, but then there was a part of her that screamed to her that this was wrong. That small portion was her memory of being stuck in hell with Alec. She made the man a promise that she would change and right now, she was letting him down. "You've ruined my friend Will's night and his nice bar. The only thing keeping you here on this earth is the promise I made to someone." Kenya squeezed the vampire's neck a little tighter, then she rolled her eyes and released the man, sparing his life as she stormed out of the establishment. Not because she wanted to, but it's what Alec would've wanted her to do. After all, she did make a promise.
