The witch squealed in delight and rushed forward, jumping at the wizard who instinctively embraced her in a hug. "I thought you said you wouldn't be here for a few days," Brendon murmured.

"I thought I'd come by a little early," Natalie explained, looking up at the wizard, both of her eyes now a vibrant shade of blue, as opposed to the dark and dull blue color they used to be. She no longer wore the eye patch, and her dark brown hair had been cut short, just above the shoulder. She traced her fingers from his shoulder down his chest, stopping just above his waistline. "I missed you," She purred, the corner of her lip curling upward.

Brendon was at a loss for words, his jaw dropped in a mix of astonishment, confusion, and uncomfortableness.

"Did you miss me?" She asked, a seductiveness to her voice as she brought her hand down even further and smirked. He closed his eyes and tilted his head back, his body and his mind not agreeing on their reactions. His mind screamed no, but his body screamed yes. "Come on, Brendon, what's wrong? Cat got your tongue?"

"M-M-More like witch got my dick," He stammered under his breath.

"What was that?"

"N-N-Nothing," He stuttered, biting his lip. Brendon was so close to caving, when suddenly the front door opened and Natalie stepped away from Brendon. From the loud huff and the jingling of keys, the two knew that it was Rachael. Brendon practically ran to the witch and attacked her while she was trying to close the door. "Hey, you're home!" He screamed while Rachael turned around and lifted a single eyebrow in confusion.

She tore off the sunglasses she had on that were hiding her bloodshot eyes and met the wizard's gaze. "Is everything alright?" She muttered, her voice a tad bit hoarse and scratchy.

"Of course everything's alright, why wouldn't they be alright? Everything's just fine!" Before she could even respond, he pulled her close and crashed his lips into hers. The kiss was sloppy yet passionate, Brendon opening his eyes at one point to look over at the youngest witch in the room to see her reaction. Natalie smirked then coughed. The two pulled away and Rachael looked over at her sister.

"Nat!" She exclaimed, "You're here." Brendon fled the scene and headed for his kitchen to prepare breakfast.

"Yeah, I decided to come a bit earlier and surprise the two of you." She smiled.

"Wonderful," Rachael replied sarcastically, rubbing the back of her neck and averting her gaze to the side, "Just wonderful..."

"Hey Rach. Can you come here for a sec?" Brendon called to her from the kitchen as he pulled out a few breakfast items from the cabinets.

"I'm going to go see what he wants," The older witch informed her sister before escaping into the small area of the open living space. The younger one nodded her head and crossed her arms over her chest, surveying the home the man she'd had her heart set on for years had taken residence in.

"Have you seen Kenya?" He questioned while pulling out flour for a pancake mix, "Bruno kindly stopped by to tell me that she was leaving town."

"I don't know, I can't remember anything that happened last night. I got so drunk I blacked out and woke up in Will's apartment...fully clothed, of course." The witch ripped open one of the cabinets and pulled out a bottle of painkillers, popping the cap off and putting the bottle to her lips, swallowing a few pills dry.

"Oh, I thought you would know something, since you two talked yesterday." He shrugged. "Speaking of that, how did it go? If you can remember anything."

"I already told you, I can't," She lied, not wanting the wizard to know she could clearly recall all of the events from her moments with Kenya, "I blacked out. The last thing I remember is...is visiting Patrick in the hospital."

"No need to get angry with me. I was just wondering, god." Brendon raised his hands in surrender. "Sorry for being curious," He apologized while opening a drawer to look for a spatula, "Hey, does your sister have to stay with us?" It was evident in his tone that something was bothering him.

"I hope not." Rachael shoved the painkillers back into the cabinet and slammed it shut. She walked over to the sink and leaned against it, holding onto the counter and looking over at her sister who was occupied looking at one of the pictures she'd picked up from the mantle. "I don't even know why she's here. I swear, she couldn't have come at a worse time."

"She's your sister; she probably missed you," The wizard rationalized. The witch scoffed. "Or she's running from the police," He jeered and Rachael shoved the playful man, causing him to laugh, "What? It's possible, her missing you, of course."

"I'm the last person on this planet that she'd miss. You're the one she probably missed. You've been her crush since she was, like, fifty years old, maybe even before then. In fact, I think she came out of the womb with eyes for you. Literally."

"What? No!" Brendon frantically shook his head and Rachael smirked at his appalled reaction.

"Hey, it's true. Anyone and everyone at the coven knew it. We even had a pool going to see how long it was going to take for the two of you to get together," The witch disclosed casually, crossing her arms over her chest, "Man, if there's one thing I missed about that damn place, it's that pool. I had so much fun with it. We all did. Even my mom was a part of it."

"Well, I guess you all would lose in that pool, because the only girl I want is standing right in front of me," Brendon blurted out, his voice louder than normal as he looked over at Natalie to see her take a quick glance in his and her sister's direction.

Rachael's eyebrows knit together. "Are you sure everything's alright, Brendon?" She asked, "Because you're acting really weird and I'm almost positive it's not my hangover making things seem to be something they're not."

"Nope, nothing's wrong," The wizard stated while leaning over a bowl and putting his pancake mix together, "What's going to happen since she's gone?"

"She?"

"Kenya. I mean, last time she was in a coma, we were close to a demon take over," He mentioned while going for the fridge to pull out eggs and milk, "Now she's gone again and I have a feeling that we only saw the beginning of that demon."

Rachael groaned. "Look, Brendon. I have a massive headache and I feel like at any moment I'm going to throw up. I really don't want to think about all that stuff right now."

"What stuff?" Natalie chimed in while coming over, leaning on the kitchen counter, and looking at the two elder witches, wishing to be included.

"Nothing." Brendon tried to move around her but he couldn't escape her wandering gaze.

"Sounds kind of important."

"We're just dealing with a lot, Nat. It's something, but nothing you should be concerned about. We can handle whatever is happening," The older sibling assured the younger one while keeping eye contact with Brendon who wasn't so sure.

This was a dangerous time. Kenya was gone, the demon was still out there, and they were about to head into a full fledged war. They had no other choice than to pretend that nothing was going on, but both witches knew they were on the verge of something major, something that would change this city forever.
