Indie's POV
I couldn't believe they had showed up at my work. It was surprise. I was giddy the rest of work. Kate knew I was up to something. She questioned me over and over and finally I told her. There was no need for a fight to burst out, especially at work.
"They're here." I looked at her as we stood in the kitchen alone.
"What do you mean they're here?" I watched things click in her head as she said the words. "They're here?!" Her voice raised slightly causing me to cover her mouth.
"They are in this building right now." I could still see her mind running a million miles a minute.
"That's why you ran off! You didn't have to use the bathroom." Her mouth dropped. "Sneaky sneaky Indie. I'm actually quite proud you hid it as well as you did."
"I want to run around and scream Kate."
"No ones stopping you."
"Except our boss and every customer standing out there." I pointed towards the lobby. "5:45 can't come any slower." I groaned and crossed my arms causing her to laugh.
The rest of the day really seemed to never come. The short few hours I had left of my shift seemed like thousands of hours. As I clocked out at the end of my shift I ran to my phone in my locker and texted Michael.
Indie: I'm out, heading to my car now.
Michael: patiently waiting for your slow ass.
Indie: I'm hurrying!
I ran out to my car as fast as I could. Kate was following behind me. She knew she could follow me to my car but she wished me luck as we left the building. I ran to my car and rolled down my window to talk with the totally suspicious car parked next to mine.
"What's the plan?" I head Calum call from the backseat causing me to laugh.
"I need to go change and stuff. Follow me home?"
"How will your parents feel about you bringing 4 men into your house?"
"I don't care what they think just follow me." I started my car and rolled up the window.
I pulled out and they followed behind me. We parked outside my house and the four of them got out and followed me inside. This time they had no disguise. It was nice to see them as real people not trying to hide who they were.
My mom was sitting in the living and instantly stopped the 5 of us. "Excuse you." She said walking over to us.
"The band meet my bitch of a mother. Mother meet Michael, Ashton, Calum, and Luke you know the guys who you thought were using me for sex. Yup that's them." I looked back at the boys. "Come on." I grabbed Michael's arm pulling him with me up the stairs to my room.
The rest of the band followed staring at the photos on the wall as they did so. We entered my room and they all say down.
"Nice room Indie." Luke said looking at my floor that was covered in clothes. I quickly picked up the floor and threw the clothes into my closet.
"If I would have known you were coming I would have cleaned up but we see how well that worked now don't we."
"I didn't realize things were that bad between your parents." Ashton spoke looking at me.
"I put up a nice disguise don't I?" He nodded a little.
"Your sister." Calum said pointing to my wall. I hadn't told the band about my sister. The only one who knew was Michael. It caused me to stare at Calum wanting to know how he knew everything.
"How do you..?"
"Our manager knew. That's what got you into our shows actually."
"She still uses her fame to help me not even being here." Luke and Ashton were confused so I filled them in. They were shocked. I let them know I was okay they didn't need to look at me any differently. They agreed. I went through my dresser and pulled out an outfit. "I'm gonna change I'll be back in a second." I walked off into the bathroom and changed along with fixed myself up.
I could hear their conversation from the bathroom. I was eavesdropping on their conversation and I didn't even care. I wasn't really one to do that but for some reason I was. After a few minutes I joined back with them. Their conversation stopped as I entered the room.
"You guys realize I could hear you the whole time fight?" I laughed a little. "You guys helped me through losing my sister. So thank you for that but don't worry about it." I looked at Calum. "He didn't worry for the year he knew."
The guys looked at Calum. They couldn't believe how long Calum had kept a secret. I was glad he did. He was good at keeping my secrets. He was someone I could always trust and rely on.
The next year of my life was crazy. It seemed as though I never stopped. Michael and I grew to the point of dating. We tried to hide it from people but someone was always there to catch the hidden secrets. We didn't know how people could be so sneaky but they definitely succeeded at doing what they wanted. It was inevitable that people were going to find out. We finally stopped trying to hide it. Holding hands in public was something we finally did. We didn't care what people thought.
I finally introduced Kate to the guys. It took a few years but that's not what mattered. She meshed so well with us. I ended up losing my job at the theater and what ever happens to me happens to Kate. She followed me out the door and we are yet to return back to even see a movie. I think everyone had a bit of a crush on her. They always seemed to fall for the ever so lovely Kate. I couldn't have her over shining me which is why it took so long. She still managed to out shine me but at least I had a bit of time before it happened. I just cared about what Michael thought about me.
I had went from Blakely's sister to Michael Clifford girlfriend. People still tried to say I was there to ride people's coat tails but I didn't care what others thought. It was fully about my own happiness at this point of my life. I tried not to let it all get to me. Don't get me wrong it took time and lots of break downs but I had the best support group in the world.
Kate and I followed the band around the world like their own personal paparazzi at concerts. We filmed everything they allowed us too. We joked and had fun with our best friends. We took dorky pictures of them and made sure everyone saw it. Not matter how much they would hate us. We got some awful death stares for some of the photos but it was all worth it.
My life went from a living hell to something worth living for. All because one night I let my curiosity take over. I ended up meeting some crazy Australian band. I got to fall in love with one of the members. I got out of my shit job and started doing something I actually enjoyed. Most of all, I got to do it with my best friend by my side. Moral of the story is sometimes you just have to let your adventurous side take over no matter how crazy it seems.
