"You are pretty subpar yourself. Why did I choose you out of everyone I met that day?"
"I ask myself the same thing. Why did I ever agree to it? I mean curiosity only gets you so far."
"To really answer your question you should do whatever the fuck you want to."
"I can see the headlines now. Indie Callingsworth using Michael Clifford to get the fame her sister had."
"I always wondered from our first conversation if you were being compared to a sibling by your parents."
"Oh you betcha." I wanted to sit next to him in the stage to talk so I struggled my way over the fence and walked to the stage. I was now standing between his legs. It probably looked wrong from all angles.
"So she was famous?"
"An actress." I nodded.
"Wait why are we talking about thing in the past tense?" I did everything to avoid that question.
"I mean I didn't train myself to become such an incredible actress. She taught me everything I know. I'm trying to think of what stunt I should pull when I leave tonight."
"You realize leaving tonight isn't going to be the same. Your face is now everywhere."
"I mean I have an idea. 'Guys I fell and choked on his dick like it was out of my control'."
"They would want to rip your head off."
"More power to them. Try and rip it off. You aren't going to get anywhere. I mean they might rip my hair out though. I don't have much as it is. I'd rather not have any more ripped out."
"You're telling me."
"Maybe if you stopped bleaching it. Even though it suits the hell out of you. Dark scruff and light hair is very suiting."
"Complimenting me. Shit something must have gotten to you."
"I told you the first conversation we had that I'd pick you over the others any day."
"I thought you were being nice. Pre-game confidence boost."
"I could care less about your confidence. I mean that in the nicest way possible. Like I want you to be confident but I didn't care about how good or bad your performed I told you that."
"True. So you think I'm attractive then?"
"Don't even try to get me to toot your horn." I backed away from the stage a bit.
"Afraid to admit it. Don't want to sound like a fangirl I see how it is."
"Oh fuck off. You wouldn't have talked to me if you didn't think I was attractive. And I sure as hell wouldn't have followed you if you weren't appealing to the eyes."
"There it is! Using me for my looks." He shook his head. "I can't believe you."
"I should be saying the same to you. You still could be using me for a groupie. Just buttering me up first. Just to get into my pants."
"The moment I looked at you I knew I'd be fucking you."
"The truth comes out." I started to walk away from him. We were fake bickering and it was cute. It took away from his question. Most of all it took away from the drama that was forming on the Internet. I wanted to be a part of none of it. It is why I kept things hidden the first time. I should have never told my mom. This would not be happening right now. The drama that is. I didn't want to be the one to be ruining things for the band. That's what I was most worried about. I wasn't a bad person but I didn't want to make things hard. I cared about others feelings more than my own. I knew what it was like to be in their world. One wrong move and your world comes tumbling down.
I heard his feet on the stage walking. I looked up and saw him next to me. I found my way onto the stage. It wasn't easy and it took Michael's help but I joined him.
"I have an idea!" I looked at him. "Sit." I pointed to the ground before running off to a crew member. I asked them for a mic stand which i kindly got. I ran back to the center of the stage and faced Michael.
"Am I getting a performance?"
"This mic stand is a stripper pole." I pretend like I was going to use it as a stripper pole. Michael hooted and hollered causing me to laugh. "No. I learned something tonight." I looked at him. I held the stand and looked around. I was silent. I created suspense. He just stared at me waiting for something to happen. If you have ever seen a video or been to a 5sos concert you'd know exactly what I was portraying. I picked up on things quickly. Meaning I could learn a song after hearing it once.
"Everybody's got their demons." I started to sing. I watched his face light up. He got up quickly and ran over to me.
"Even wide awake and dreaming." We sung together. "I'm the one who ends up leaving make it okay."
"You've got this Indie."
"See a war I wanna fight it. See a match I wanna strike it. Every fire I've ignited faded to grey. But now that I'm broken. Now that you know it. Caught up in a moment. Can you see inside." I looked at Michael before continuing. I wanted him to join. I waited for him to start.
"Cause I've," he started and I joined in. "Got a jet black heart." We sung the rest of the chorus together before stopping. It ended in an applause. I turned around to see the rest of the band members standing there.
"Damn Indie." Luke said. "Give you props for knowing a song you've never heard before."
"Songs are my weakness. I learn them after hearing them once. They go in one ear and get stuck. Not going to lie that part of the concert is my favorite."
"Because it's all Michael." Calum chimed in.
"Fuck off. It's just really captivating."
"Because it's Michael." Calum said again.
"You falling in love with Michael?" I looked questioning Calum.
"Who knew you could sing." Ashton added trying to stop Calum.
"Fake it till you make it. No on a real I can't sing I don't know what you're talking about."
"Who thinks we should kick Luke out of the band and take her?" Ashton looked at Cal and Michael. They both raised their hands.
"Oi. Why me? What did I do?"
"It's the best fit really."
I cleared my throat. "I'm no Luke Hemmings." I looked at Michael slyly with a smile. "But I'm a pretty damn good Indie so I'd really like to keep it that way if you don't mind."
"Turned down an amazing opportunity."
"There's a reason I didn't follow in my sister's footsteps." I looked at Michael who had spoken to me. "Fame isn't my thing."
"I think that might change." Calum said. I shrugged.
"No one speaks of what you just witnessed again. Got it?" I looked at all of them.
"We have video of it. No need to talk about it."
"No!" I ran over to Ashton who said he had footage. "Phone." I held out my hand waiting for him to place the phone in my hand but he didn't. I fought him for it. We were wrestling on the bare stage over a phone. I didn't want that video to exist. I didn't want the black mailing.
"We aren't going to show people. You can stop wrestling him Indie." Calum said. I glared at him and got off Ashton.
"If I find it on the Internet. You are all getting your dicks chopped off. I'm not scared to do it. So don't take that lightly." I crossed my arms.
"We would have to let you near us for that to happen." I looked at Michael.
"He's safe. He wants me around. That job will be easy. At least I hope."
"I mean if I have to have you around. I guess."
We headed off the stage. I didn't want to night to end. The night ending meant I had to head to hell. I didn't even know if I was going to be allowed back into my house. I wouldn't be surprised if I got kicked out for a few days. I just wanted more time with them. The problem with that was I was getting attached. Not attached in a fangirl way, like omg I want to fuck them, they're my boyfriends. It was a friendship attachment. I know people don't really become friends over night but I felt like I had known them my whole life. Even if I still had trouble telling their voices apart. You would think I would be able to with how quick I catch onto things.
The band beside Michael headed to their bus. They had a journey to go on according to Michael. They had a show hours away the next day. So they couldn't just stay around like before. Which meant I had to go there was no other option.
"Thanks for coming again Indie."
"Thanks for leaving me a desperate note." I joked.
"Fuck off." He smiled.
"Until next time. Even though there could never be a next time."
"I think I'll make sure there's a next time."
"Just can't get rid of me huh?"
"You're so much like a fangirl. I'll be doing it for your own pleasure."
"You think you pleasure me?"
"I know I do." I held back a laugh.
"Shit my secret is out. Michael you turn me on. You've caught me." I shook my head. "Drats."
"Michael!" Luke yelled out the window at us.
I sighed and pulled him in for a hug. "See ya Michael."
"Drive safe please? It's dark and late."
"Tell your driver to do the same."
"Also try not to get attacked by fans. And don't let the rumors get to you."
I gave him a thumbs up and started to back away from him. "Bye guys!" I yelled to the bus and waved.
"Bye!" Everyone yelled back as I headed towards the gate.
The parking lot still had people. I could see the headlights the closer I got to the gate. I tried to hide my face as much as possible. A security man opened the gate for me. I saw a few fans standing there and I turned my back to them. I took Michael's pass and put it down my shirt. I couldn't make it super noticeable. I was glad darkness took over most of the parking lot. It made hiding easy.
I walked up to my car and unlocked it. I, of course, couldn't go unquestioned.
"Did you enjoy the concert?"
"I did. And you?"
"It was so much fun! Did you hear about the Michael rumor?"
"Yeah the girl I was walking out with was talking to me about it. Have people found out who the girl is?"
"This one girl is giving out all her information." I took a deep breath and started my car.
"Like pictures or?" I looked down at my phone. "My phone died so."
"Twitter, Instagram, photos, everything." The girl looked down at her phone. I assumed to pull it up.
"I have to go." I tried to pull out but a car pulled in front of mine. I was stuck.
The girl looked at her phone and at me. I tried to hide my face as much as possible. She had already seen it. I could see her brain processing everything. I was caught and stuck in the parking lot.
"Wait you are this girl." She held out her phone.
