Michael's POV
Her car drove away from me. The girl I had spent the last week with was gone. She had left me with a task. I was set to complete the task of I wanted her in my life. There was no doubt about it. I wanted her in it for as long into the future as I could see. I wasn't going to hide the fact that she was making me feel a way someone hadn't fully made me feel before. I was definitely lusting over her. I wanted the tour to fly by just as the chance of seeing her after it was over. At the same time I didn't want to lose myself. I still wanted to go out and perform killer shows. Being away from her wasn't going to take that away from me.
I began my mission as she left my sight. I went straight to Calum. I picked his brain for the information. He refused and refused to share the information I was looking for. He was going to make me work for it. Which I was in no mood to do so.
"Calum she told me to come to you for the information."
"She told me not to share the information. I mean at this point finding her Twitter should be easy. As for her number you're going to have to work for it."
"She's not even interested in you."
"You think she's interested in you?" I crossed my arms looking at Calum.
"Who did she come to the shows for?"
"All of us."
"Bullshit." Calum laughed at me.
"You have such a big crush on her it's hilarious. You having a crush on someone is something new. You normally just sleep with them and move on."
"I think you're speaking for yourself."
"Low blow."
"Back at you Calum." I sat down on the couch in the front of the bus and pulled out my phone.
I began to research. Calum was right. It didn't take long to get the information I wanted. All I had to type in was Indie Callingsworth on google and all her information was there. Twitter and Instagram were the first two clickable links. That's exactly where I went. I followed her Twitter right away. There was no reason to hide the inevitable. The fans already knew we were something. There wasn't a point in hiding things anymore. There was an issue. I couldn't DM her. She hadn't followed me. I contemplated just tweeting her. I knew as soon as I did the replies would blow up her phone. I didn't want that happening so I waited. I waited for her to make the next move.
While waiting I dozed off to sleep. It had been a never ending week. The exhaustion was finally catching up to me. I crashed and didn't wake up until I heard the boys talking the next morning. My eyes opened to see everyone eating. I stretched and sat up before joining them. I glanced at my phone but it had died over night. I plugged it in and waited for it to charge a bit before turning it on.
As soon as it turned on it dinged.
@FarFromIndie mentioned you in a tweet.
I clicked on it as I placed food in my mouth.
@FarFromIndie: Why was I stupid enough to spend a week with these idiots? I'm exhausted.
Attached to the tweet was an individual photo of the four of us. She enjoyed taking photos of us on the week she was here. Whether it was on stage or hanging out. She captured picture perfect moments. As I clicked on the tweet I found myself lost in her profile. She had followed me.
@YourGirlKate: @FarFromIndie so much sex.
@FarFromIndie: @YourGirlKate don't get people riled up omg. No sex jc.
I laughed at the conversation that went on between Kate and Indie over Twitter. It was nice to see Kate accepting Indie and her decisions. Indie needed Kate more than she needed anyone else. It was the little piece left she had of her sister.
Michael5sos: Telling Kate we had sex. Naughty.
FarFromIndie: jfc you are reading that? Stop now. She's embarrassing. She's doing it to piss people off.
FarFromIndie: Also looks like you found me. Calum disobeyed his rules.
Michael5sos: He actually wouldn't tell me anything. Made me stalk you to figure the shit out.
FarFromIndie: Ew stalk me. I don't think I can talk with you anymore.
Michael5sos: Fuck off Indie. You made me do this.
FarFromIndie: :) I've got to head off to work. My boss is going to murder me.
I didn't realize she had to work. We didn't talk much about her job while she was here. All I knew is that she couldn't stand it. Something about it made her unhappy so I ruled to not bring it up.
I would say the next few months we talked all the time but we really didn't. I found myself busier as the tour went on and so did she. We still found time to talk for a bit. We spent time at 1am speaking on the phone a few times a week. I felt myself wanting to know how her day went. Which is normally what our very day conversations consisted of.
She finally gave in to giving me her number but it took a few weeks. It made talking so much easier. Our conversations would get lost in dms. It wasn't easy trying to message through Twitter.
@FarFromIndie: Why am I up right now? It's 3am and I have to be up for work in 3 hours. Why have I done this to myself every day?
@YourGirlKate: @FarFromIndie Smitten. See you in 3 hours.
Indie replied to Kate with a middle finger emoji. The reason she was up until 3 her time was because she was on the phone with me. The last week of tour was so rewarding but it was also the most exhausting. We all needed a lift at the end of the night. We were ready for the tour to be completely over. I found myself lost in conversations with Indie.
"Finally we can sleep." Luke said from his bunk.
"Oh fuck off Luke. We all can't fall asleep. Might as well do something to past the time."
"Talk on the phone for 2 hours. But whatever makes you happy."
It was clearly what made me happy. As much as I wanted to go home after tour. I wanted a home cooked meal and my own bed. I couldn't leave until I saw her one last time. So as tour came to an end the guys and I took a surprise trip to her. I mean there was no way to hide the fact we were friends. Indie got hate every day. I hated that our fans didn't respect our personal lives. It was something that had always bugged me about fame. I wanted friends who didn't get hate for being involved in my life. They didn't sign up for the attention. It wasn't right.
As our flight landed in a town we found all to familiar I remembered the restaurant she has taken us to. It was surprise, we had to surprise her. I didn't know where she worked. All I knew was that it was a theater. We weren't allowed to talk with Kate so I went to the next thing I knew. The guys went to our hotel and I headed to the restaurant.
I walked in and instantly found myself looking at the photo of Blakely, Indie's sister. As a lady asked to seat me my focus left the photo. "I'm not here to eat." I glanced at the photo of Blakely. "That sounds rude. I apologize the food here is incredible. I'm just on a mission kind of. Blakely's sister Indie."
"Indie is our favorite, her and Kate are here almost every night. What's up?"
"I'm her friend. My friends and I just flew back into town to surprise her. She thinks we're all in California." My phone dinged it was her. "We're trying to surprise her."
"You're her Australian friend? The ones she brought in one night right?" I nodded and smiled. "She talks about you a lot. You mean a lot to her."
"Do you know where she is?" I quickly read the text from her and replied with no hints that I was just minutes away from her.
"She usually works today, and then has tomorrow off. She should probably be there now."
"Where exactly is the movie place?" The lady kindly gave me directions. We had to move quick. We didn't have long until she left. I thanked the lady and ran off to the hotel. The guys and I planned our attacked. We couldn't just walk into a theater as we were. We had to tactfully do things. Disguise and all was coming out.
After planning we grabbed a car and headed to the theater. I was more nervous than they were. This was a big deal. She still had no idea we were here. There was no way she could know. She was working. As the four of us got out of our car and made our way inside I scanned the faces of everyone. I was looking for her and I was judging reactions. We couldn't get noticed. No one had thankfully. We walked up to the ticket people. None of them were Indie, nor Kate.
I walked over to concession. There seemed to be tons of workers back there but that's besides the point. As I scanned the faces I finally found hers. Just as I did so did the boys. Calum tapped my shoulder and slyly pointed at her. We had done it. We stood in her line. There was no way we were going to move to another line. We finally made it to the stand.
"No." She said.
"Hi."
"How?" She tried to hide the fact she knew us. That was before a face I knew too well walked over. It was her best friend. "Go." She shoo'd us away before Kate got to her.
I heard Kate question her. Indie was quick on her feet. She had answers for everything. You could tell she was edging to leave. I heard Indie say she needed to use the bathroom. Before I knew it I felt a tap on my shoulder. We were out of sight for everyone. She practically appeared out of no where.
"Michael."
"Indie Callingsworth in the flesh."
"In the flesh. You're telling me."
"Don't you have a job to do?" I smirked.
"Yeah it's called hugging my favorite people." She hugged the guys before hugging me. "Thank you." She whispered in my ear. "I really needed this."
"You doing alright?"
She shrugged. "I get out at 5:45. Meet me behind the theater." She pointed in the direction. I'll text you when I'm leaving. Bye losers." She ran off and disappeared behind a door.
