CHAPTER 14 : Statue of Liberty

Today is the day, araw na pinakasinusumpa kong mangyari, note that! We just answered and shared 'I Dos' in each other na muntik ko ng pagsukahan kanina! My heart keeps on pounding really hard, of course btch you're still alive! I know!

"I pronounce you as woman and wife." I cringed inside when the judge announced it, parang tanga lang diba?! I was taken aback when the judge look at us saying that. na parang .. we need to kiss.

No! I wouldn't let that happen!

Alam ko lahat ng uri ng wedding ceromony sa huli may kiss. Hindi ko hahayaan na babae lang ang makakahalik sa pinagkakaingatan kong mga labi, and duh I hate everything and everyone right now, lalo na sa babaeng nasa harap ko ngayon parang nalilito pa siya kung sino ang unang gagawa ng move. 

No no no! Not my kiss!

"P--please don't.." I whispered to her, I feel so weak right now. Seriously, hindi dapat niya nakikita ang side ko na 'to pero papalampasin ko na lang muna.

The wedding didn't last long, dahil na rin sa kagustuhan ko. We decided to leave the city hall as soon as possible. There's nothing special about this day, so the 'after' typical wedding ceremony, walang ganoon na naganap. Bakit pa? Hindi naman dapat i-celebrate ang araw na to, ugh.

Hindi ko na pinansin pa si cheap pagkalabas namin ng hall, ang masasabi ko napaka-ughh, she's still cheap on her wedding dress! That's it.

Really?

Okay fine! She's indeed beautiful without her eyeglasses on, plus with the wedding dress she's wearing. But, I can't see her almond eyes that I admire, earlier, dahil na rin sa naka-contact lens siya. Though, all and all, I still hate her!

By late 6pm nakarating kaming lahat sa apartment. Yes, as in kaming lahat. Magkahiwalay lang ng sasakyang ginamit kanina. Malawak at malaki naman yung apartment dito sa nirentahan nila sa New York but I have this awkward atmosphere with the Lazaro's. Maybe because I just married their daughter/sister? Also, because I really fckng hate her! Mind that.

"Vienna, I am glad you didn't ruined this day, even you're not really willing to do it. Father loves you so much, I'm sorry nǚ'ér." I was about to enter my room ng magsalita si dad, the Lazaro's are on the dining room with mom and grandmy. It may sounds corny but I think my heart melted when my father said it. After all, I am still his daughter. Pero nagtatampo pa rin ako sa kanya.

"I don't know what to say dad." I said back using the mandarin language. Sa totoo lang wala talaga akong masabi ngayon. Pagod na pagod pa ako pero may epal pa. May dinner pa dapat akong pagsaluhan, damn this day!

"It's okay, just get dress now comfortably. Dinner is waiting for you, hao de?" I just nod on him and kiss his cheek. Dumiretso ako sa kwarto ko at hinayaan ang katawan ko na bumagsak sa malambot na kama.

Sigh. I'm still wearing the dress, nakatingin lang ako sa ceiling, remembering what had just happened a few weeks ago until today. I felt a tear started to flow first in my left eye. They say if the person's tear dropped first in the left eye, they are in pain.

Yes, I'm in pain.

I do not know why, I do not know what for. Pinahid ko na lang agad traydor kong luha hanggang sa may narinig akong katok sa pinto, damn. Nakalimutan ko nga palang i-lock yun only to see my grandmy standing there.

Agad itong lumapit sa akin ng makita ang itsura ko, argh! Baka mag-mukha na akong zombie dahil nagkalat na ang make up sa mukha ko! Fck.

"Apo, bakit ka umiiyak?" she asked worriedly and come near to hug me, I just needed a hug from her too so I hugged her back, and cried hard as much as I can. Still, the marriage between me and Louise is just a part of our Chinese culture. Wala akong laban para dun, I don't want to have a bad luck someday that I might regret.
