The weekend has finally arrived which meant it was time to attend Cobi's party. I had mixed feelings about attending this party. I was upset at Kendrick for not telling me about the party I found out through Patricia. " what's wrong with you ?" Kendrick glanced at me , but not for long he had to keep his attention on the road and the cars in front of us. I sighed and folded my arms across my growing belly. " nothing" I nonchalantly replied. Kendrick gripped his jaw and slowly shook his head. " don't lie to me , baby just tell me what's wrong please". I looked out of the window to avoid eye contact with Kendrick " you still have feelings for her Kendrick , I know you do." I felt sick to my stomach images of him leaving me for her appeared. He grabbed my hand and rubbed it " stop over thinking , we'll talk about this later." I actually didn't want to talk about it later , I hate the thought of him and her being together again or him still having feelings for her. " We're here" we pulled up to a modern two story brick home. It was a average suburban home , with a white picket fence. I slowly exited the car. " wake up son" Kendrick unbuckled Josiah and took him out of his car seat. She's lucky I have a son close to Cobi's age or I wouldn't be here. Josiah needs to be around kids his age " do you want me to grab the bags , since you're holding Jo Jo?" Kendrick smiled " if you want to baby." Honestly I didn't want to carry the bags , but I also didn't want to go inside just yet. I slowly walked towards the trunk. " Brooklyn! Need some help? " A smiling Patricia walked towards me she was casually dressed in a white pair of distressed jeans, a oversized white shirt, and black sandals. Her curly hair was now in a bone straight high ponytail. " sure" I slightly smiled and grabbed two bags allowing her to get the rest. " you're son is gorgeous by the way" she stated as she reached into the trunk grabbing the last bags. " thank you " I didn't plan on having a full conversation with her so I decided to walk ahead of her. Entering the house there were kids running all over with balloons in their mouths. I spotted Kendrick instantly , Josiah was cuddled deep inside of his chest. I sat the bags in a corner and walked over to them. " what's wrong baby." I rubbed Josiah's face " he didn't want to play with the other kids." I sighed I felt bad it wasn't his fault that he was shy. Josiah has never been around other toddlers this was a new experience for him. I pointed to the bouncy house " look baby, do you want to go bounce?" He looked at the bouncy house and smiled " yes mommy" Kendrick chuckled at placed him onto his feet " okay baby go have fun, be careful mommy and daddy will be right here watching you." He hugged my legs and ran out of the house into the backyard. " you're going to make him a mama's boy" Kendrick chuckled. I stuck my tongue out at him " like you" I smirked. I walked outside to check on Josiah. He was interacting with the other children so well, which made me so happy. I was glad to see him getting along with the other kids but most importantly having fun being a kid. " Okay kiddos it's time for cake and ice cream " Patricia stepped outside carrying a large spiderman cake with the help of Kendrick. I rolled my eyes at the two , I dont know if I should be worried or not. Josiah pointed to the cake " look mommy its spiderman!" He jumped up and down clapping his hands. I chuckled "I see him baby." I didn't feel like being here any longer. " baby go to daddy, mommy will be back to pick you guys up." Josiah nodded and ran to Kendrick. Lucky me I had the keys to Kendrick's truck. I made the decision to leave, Kendrick probably won't even care that I'm gone. On the way home I had so many mixed feelings about Kendrick. I have to get to the bottom of this.
