The next couple days were no easier than the last one; Monday was just a day that Cheryl spent crying off and on, and now Tuesday was a similar scenario really. Liam was pottering around the apartment making lunch for him and Cheryl as he knew she needed to eat something while Cheryl laid in bed for a good while after she'd showered and such, just staring off into space really. For once, her mind wasn't plagued by any thoughts involving work or anything like that. She wasn't worried about a client, she wasn't worried about the million and one emails she had to respond to, she wasn't worried about going to court...

She was just worried about Sophia...

The news was already going crazy about Sophia being missing – the reporters constantly asking for information whilst showing Sophia's picture and saying, "The daughter of the UK's most powerful lawyer..."

If she was "the UK's most powerful lawyer", then why did she feel so powerless right now?

"Cheryl!"

Cheryl rolled her eyes and dragged herself out of bed, quickly wiping the tears from her eyes before slowly making her way through to the kitchen area where Liam was. He was putting their breakfast down on the island counter top; having made them some chicken salad and seasoned fries, and had even put some lemonade out for them to drink as well. Cheryl sat herself down at the island counter, smiling slightly at him as he sat down.

"How are you feeling?" he asked. Cheryl shrugged, breathing out.

"I don't even know, babe," she quietly spoke, "I don't get it; I would never do this to somebody. Joe Smith hates me and my ex-husband so much that he's threatening to harm our child over something like this. The money that I knew nothing about, and then because his daughter is in the midst of a lawsuit against you – he wants you to go down so much and hates the fact that I'm representing you so much that he's just trying to destroy my life? Who does this to people and thinks it's okay? At what point in your life do you become so miserable and evil and consumed by greed and power that you do this to people? And the sheer fact that he doesn't think he's gonna end up in deep shit after all of this? Is he really that crazy?"

"The whole fucking family is psycho; all of them." Liam replied, shaking his head in despair. Cheryl just shook her head in despair, eating some of her breakfast before suddenly looking up again as she had a thought.

"Liam." She spoke up once she swallowed. Liam looked up from his own breakfast he had been eating.

"Yeah?" he asked.

"What does Sophia look like?" Cheryl asked, the curiosity clear in her voice as she really had never seen Sophia Smith before.

And now she was wondering if Sophia Smith was that girl she had seen in the live feed video, talking to her Sophia...

"I don't have any pictures of her anymore but I know she's got Facebook so hang on." Liam replied as he stood up. He grabbed his phone from the charger, going straight to Facebook and searching for the page of his ex. He managed to find her pretty much straight away, and so pulled up a picture of her before sliding the phone over to Cheryl. Cheryl took a look, her eyes going wide straight away.

This was the girl from the video...

"Liam, erm," she looked up, "Do you think she would have anything to do with my Sophia disappearing?"

And now it was Liam's turn to have a shocked look on his face because he certainly had never even thought of that.

"I'm asking because when I looked at the live feed the other day, there was a girl with brown hair that was looking after Soph; but see I wasn't in the right state of mind to ask you then," she continued as she slid his phone back to him,
