Chapter 9 Jason no! (Jerome's POV)

Sarah went home late that night and now it's a beautiful fall morning. I stretch and make my way down stairs. "I smell pancakes!" I inhale. I get into the kitchen and see Mitch making them, this is odd, Mitch never makes food! "what's up with you cooking all of the sudden?" I ask confused. "the girls are gonna come over for breakfast so I thought to myself why don't i cook?!" he says. "very funny Mitch now tell me the real reason." I chuckle. "Well-" just then the door bell rang, I rushed upstairs before they could see me and threw on some pants, I come back down stairs and see them standing by the door.

"Hey guys!" I wave to them. "hey!" they wave back. "Mitch is making some yummy pancakes and Quentin, ian, and Adam are upstairs recording and Jason is right there." I point out. Jason Looks up at his phone and waves at Lydia and sarah. "pancakes are done!" Mitch yells from the other room. me,Sarah, Lydia, and Jason all rush into the kitchen and grab a plate. I sit down on the couch and Jason sits by me. "can I ask you something? but you can't tell anyone.." he says. "ok." I mumble, oh no I have a bad feeling..

"i think I like like Lydia." he whispers in my ear. I spit out my chocolate milk and the girls and Mitch jump in surprise. "Well didn't Mitch tell you? that they kissed last night?" oh god what did I just tell him. "BAD BACCA!" Mitch yells at me. I feel ashamed. "what?!" Jason throws his plate down onto the floor and it breaks into pieces. the girls back up some and Mitch stands up and tries to calm down jason. "dood relax!" Mitch says to jason. "CALM DOWN? CALM DOWN?! DONT TELL ME TO CALM DOWN YOU SHOULD OF KNOWN I LIKED LYDIA!" he yells. I looked over at Lydia and her face turns red, but she stays out of it. Mitch was in shock. "you never told me!" His voice was raising. Jason pulls up his sleeves and walks right over to mitch. I don't like were this is going... just before I could hesitate, Jason socks Mitch right in the face. "NOOO!" Lydia screams but sarah hold her back. I rush over to sarah and Lydia and protected them before he gets a hold of them. Mitch was also in shock too, "all I did was kiss her you can't-" before he could finish Jason punches him in the face again and again. "STOP IT BOTH OF YOU!" Lydia screams again, tears were pouring down her face and I was just standing there watching my best friend get hurt I new I had to fight back. I went right up to Jason and punched him in the gut. "oww! Jerome stay out of this!" he cries. "no! I can't let you hurt my best friend like this!" when I said that Ian,Quentin, and Adam came faster than ever down the steps. "what is going on?!" Ian shouts. "Lydia and Mitch kissed!" Jason shouts out in pain. "awww" Adam coos. "shut up Adam it's not cute!" Jason shouts again. I ignore there conversation and run over to Mitch. "buddy? are you all right?" I ask nervously. he it's past out probably cause he sit his head real hard on the wall and ground... "OH MY GOSH MITCH SPEAK TO ME!!" Lydia cries and shakes his head. blood was running down from his nose and his face had Lydia's tears and even Sarah's on his face as well.

"Hey Biggums." he flutters his his open. "MITCH!" we all scream. Adam, Ian and Quentin came rushing over to see if he was ok while Jason lied there alone. in pain. "wow my head." he rubs his head and sits up. "you'll be alright." I say trying not to worry him to much. we lead him upstairs and lay him down in his bed. when I walk down stairs Lydia was in COMPLETE shock, sarah was still trying to soak it all in as well.. I think Jason is up in his room, well he better be. I walk over to sarah and Lydia and I sit down by them and hold them close to me. "he will be alright guys. he will be alright." I tell myself and the girls. "Are you sure?" Lydia asks looking up. "positive." I comfort.

As an hour on two past Jason walks down the stairs. "look Lydia I'm sorry.." he apologizes. Lydia stood up and smack him across the face and walk right back over to us and wiped her tears away. Jason new what he done wrong and he went outside. before we new it Mitch came walking down the steps like nothing happend. "maybe I shouldn't of kissed you..." he states.
