Chapter 29 (Lydia's POV) bestie

When sarah said that under every smile is a sad girl, it made me realize something, "it's almost Sarah's birthday, we need to do something really special for her!" I say to the boys. "Oh yeah! Her birthday is this week!" Jerome joins in. "Yeah she's had a hard time ever since she moved here.." Adam scratches his head. "We should take her to the Hollywood sign!" Jason stands up. We all thought about it. "That's brilliant! The reason she wanted to move here is to see the Hollywood sign!" I smile. "Cool so we are gonna take her to the Hollywood sign for her birthday!" Jerome says. "We should have a picnic up their and Jerome should take her somewhere else to like surprise her!" Mitch suggests. "That's a good idea Biggums! But were should I take her? It's march!" "Umm." While Mitch and Jerome think were Jerome should take her me and Adam try to think of a great birthday cake idea. "Totally vanilla icing!" Adam claps his hands. "Haha ok!" I write down vanilla icing onto a list of things to get. "What can we do?" Quentin and Ian scoot closer towards me. "Hmm you two can be in charge of getting towels, balloons, and all that Party stuff." I mutter. "Yes!" Ian and Quentin jot up and give each other a epic high five. "I know were to take her!" Jerome yells in my ear. "Were?" I start to rub my ear. "I'm gonna take her shopping!" He smiles. "She will like that!" I say. Jerome smiles and grabs the list out of my hands, he grabs the pen that is between my ear and writes something down. He hands the list and pen back to me and I read what he wrote. "Nice." I look up at him and he walks over to Mitch."ok so her birthday is in 2 days, we have 2 days to get everything together." I say. "Me and Quentin are gonna get some stuff at the store." Ian yells over at me. I nod my head and they both walk out the door. "We need to invite Britney and Jackson over for her birthday." I mumble. I look at Jerome and he scrunches up his nose. "Is.. That ok?" "I'm not a big fan of Jackson.." He states. "Well Jackson is her best friend we need to invite him!" Jackson is pretty cool, I have to admit. I dial up Britney's number first.

She picks up on the 3rd ring"Hello?" I hear her mellow voice over the phone.

"Hey Britney! It's star! Sarah's birthday is coming up and can you come over here on her birthday? We are gonna do something special." I announce.

"Sure thing! What are we gonna do?"

"We are gonna take her to the Hollywood sign but that's a surprise so shhh!"

"Haha ok!"

We talk on the phone for a bit and tell her about what we planned for her until it was time to call Jackson. I hang up the phone and dial Jackson's number which I didn't know I had..

"H-hello? Who is this?" I hear lots of noise in the background.

"It's Lydia, Sarah's birthday is soon I need you here for it." I explain every little detail to him and he agrees he's gonna fly over here and stay with us for a bit. Same with Britney. I hang up the phone and I see Ian and Quentin just walking threw the door coming back home.

"What did you get?" I hop over to them and rip open the plastic bag that Ian was holding. I pull out some red and white balloons out of the bag first. Awesome! It matches her character on minecraft! I smile and continue to fish around the bag. The second item I pull out of the bag is a color for moto which has little fishes on it. "I got her that." Ian mutters. Wow Ian sure does love that dog! The last but certainly not least I pull out a little box which has little fish earrings in the box. "And I got her that." Quentin says. "Aww guys she's gonna love it!" I give both of them a great big group hug. "We still need to get her a gift!" Adam, Ty, Mitch, Jerome, and Jason walk over to me. I pull out my keys out of my pocket and they all smile and chase each other out the door and I trail behind. They are just like kids I swear. I get in the car first and start the engine and they all jump in. It was a tight fit but it worked! "Were we heading?" I ask confused. They all looked at each other and back at me with a confused look on their face too. We sit in the car thinking were we are headed. "She likes pacsun.." Jerome spits out a idea. I shrug my shoulders and pull out of the drive way.

Couple minutes later

We make it to the mall and all the boys except for Mitch runs in. "I don't know what she likes.." Mitch breaks the silence. "I can help you!" I smile and he grabs my hand and our fingers intertwine. We get in the large building and I find all the boys in game stop. "I'm gonna get her this!!" Jason pulls a gift card of the rack. I grab it out if his hands to take a closer look... $25 gift card for iTunes.... I give him a smirk and hand it back to him. "Me and Adam got her something else as well! It's at home but it's a surprise." Jason mutters. I nod my head and move towards Jerome and Mitch. "So what do you guys have In mind?" I wrap my arms around Mitch's waste. "I think we wanna make her something home made.." Jerome scratches his head. "Ok!" I smile.

We head to other stores and Jerome and Mitch got some plain white shirt and paint.. I have no idea what they are up too.. We walk back to the car and I unlock the door and we all step inside. "So what are y'all gonna make her?" I ask. "Surprise." Mitch says. "UGGH!" I moan and continue to drive home.

Back at team crafted house

We get back to the house, Adam and Jason run upstairs into Jason's room.. "What are they up too?" Ty asks. "That's a good question.." I mumble. Ty shrugs his shoulders and starts to wrap his present. I let out a yawn and check the time.. It reads 6:58 PM. "Ty can you tell everyone I'm going home? I'm really tired.." I stretch out my arms. Ty nods his head and lays his head back on the couch. "Thanks." I smile and head over to my house.

When I get home I find sarah still in Bret's t shirt passed out on the couch. The shirt was stained with her own blood and their was still blood on her cheek. I walk over to the kitchen and get a rag and rinse it with warm water and walk over to Sarah quietly and place it gently on her cheek. Moto crawls over Sarah's limp body and starts to lick her cheek. "Moto!" I whisper. Sarah starts to smile and she awakens from her deep sleep. "Well good afternoon!" I say. "Good afternoon." She moans. "Want something to eat?" "Noooo." She rolls over to her other side leaving her back facing me. I shrug my shoulders an head to my room. Wow. She's gonna be 20 soon..
