Chapter 30 (Sarah's POV) birthday girl

"It's my birthday!" I say to myself. I jump out of bed and skip downstairs and into the kitchen to were I smell pancakes. "Morning." Lydia says not even facing me. "Good morning." I say. I wait for a bit to see of she realizes it's my birthday. "Do you need something?" She asks. Did she forget? Nah she can't! Did she? "No." I mumble. I grab a plate of pancakes and hit the couch. "Do you know what today is?" I yell from the other room. "Umm." I hear her daisies voice. "Oh! Jerome said he is gonna take you somewhere today!" She changes the subject. Maybe he didn't forget..

I finish my pancakes and I head upstairs and into my bathroom. I glance up and look at my reflection. I see a thin white girl who is shorter than most girls and has this straight,blonde hair. That's not all I see I also see a girl with cuts and bruises on her cheeks but a smile nobody can forget.but today I'm not a little girl anymore, I'm finally 20. I snap back to earth and I wash my face and clean my teeth and put on makeup. I walk into my room and in take a look at the pictures by my computer. There is one of me and Jackson when we were just kids. I smile at the picture and pick out a outfit for the day. When I'm tying my shoes I hear the door bell ring. "SARAH JEROME IS HERE!!!" Lydia screams from the first floor. I hop up and I ride the railing down. "Ready?" Jerome asks. I nod my head. "Great!" He holds the door open for me and we walk out to his car together. "Were are we going?" I ask confused. "I'm gonna take you shopping birthday girl!" He says. "You didn't forget!" I yell. "Why would i forget!" He kisses me on the cheek. "Lydia forgot!" Jerome ignores what I said and start to drive to the destination.

Couple minutes later

We make our way down town and Jerome Runs to my side and opens the door for me. "Thanks." I mumble. "OMG!! It's fluffy and fishy!" We hear a fan yell. 3 little boys that look about 8 run over to us and give us both a great big bear hug. "Can we have a picture of you two?" One little boy asks. "Sure thing!" We both take a quick picture with the boys then we head on our way.

(Lydia's POV)

"They left!" I say over the phone to Mitch. "Lez do dis!" Mitch hangs up the phone first then I hear a knock on the door. "Come in!" I yell from the kitchen. The door creeks open and I pop my head around the corner. "Hey sky! Hey Jason!" They both wave and walk over to me. "We are ready to make a cake!" Jason yells. "Great!" I say. They walk over to me and grab the icing. "Can we make it a creeper?" Sky smiles. "I was thinking that we should make it a fish.." I scratch my head. "Or that to!" Sky puts down the green frosting and picks up the blue. "I wanna do the water!" Jason whines. "Then I'm gonna do the fish." Sky mutters. I left the 2 boys in the kitchen to do the cake while I call over the rest of team crafted to come over.

A couple minutes later the rest of them come over with the wrapping paper and party stuff. "Hey Lydia can you help me wrap this?" Mitch asks. I scoot over to were Mitch was sitting and help him wrap it. "Their you go!" I say. "Thanks sunshine." He smirks. I kiss him on the cheek and he kisses me on the lips. Then I hear a knock on the door. "I will get it!" Ty stands up and opens up the front door. "who are you?" I hear a fade voice from outside. I get up and walk towards the from door to see who it was. "hey Lydia!" Jackson waves. "come on in!" I greet him. he steps inside and places his stuff down on the bench by the door. "Anything I can help with?" he asks. "you can help with the snacks in the kitchen if you want." "ok cool!" When Jackson goes into the kitchen sky and Jason come out covered In frosting. "adam! jason!" I yell at the two of them. "we will be right back." they walk back over there house then there was another knock on the door. it must be britney! I think to myself. this time I get up and Answer the door. I was correct, it was Britney standing on the porch. "come in! we are about to head over!" I let Britney in and she looks around the room.. "Weres Jerome?" she takes off her sunglasses and scans the room. "umm with sarah?" I stutter. "oh." "you do know there dating right?" "yes." she walks into the family room and sits by Quentin. just before I knew it, Adam and Jason come back over in clean clothes. "lets go!" Adam yells.

(Sarah's POV)

Me and Jerome have been walking around the town and we shared some frozen yogurt! yum my favorite! "this is so much fun!" I cheer. Jerome looks down at his phone and puts it back into his back pocket. "we have to go now.." he faces me. "I don't want to go home." I pout. "we have to! it's 6:30." "but-" "no buts." I remain silent and he drags be back to the car. "but Lydia forgot my birthday! Jackson didn't even text me today!" I start to raise my voice. "I don't think they forgot." "but they did." Jerome remains silent and he misses the turn to our neighborhood. "you missed the turn." I point out. "I think we can stop somewhere real quick." he smirks. I turn up the radio and say something comes on. "I love this song." I smile. "so do i." Jerome grabs my hand and I close my eyes and think about the whole day.

Couple minutes past

"Sarah, wake up we are here!" Jerome shakes me. I rub my eyes and look around. "were are we?" I ask quietly. "just come with me." he grabs my hand once again and helps me out of the car. I look around and spot something amazing. "oh Jerome!" I put my hands over my mouth. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY FISHY!" I hear a bunch of people scream. I look over to my right and I see everybody their! even Ty, Jackson, and Britney! "aww thanks guys!" I smile. Jackson gets up and runs over to me and picks me up and twirls me around. "your getting so old!" he looks at me. I blush and he puts me down, my feet carefully hit the dirt and I sit by Lydia and Jackson. "CAKE!" Adam comes running over with a cake in his hands. "me and sky put on the frosting!" Jason claps his hands. I look down at the cake and it has a fish on it. "it's so cute!" I squeal. Ian cuts the pieces of cake while I open my presents. "We all made you something very special, it was Jerome's idea." Lydia gets up and goes to her car to grab something. I look over at Jerome in a confused way and he smiles back at me. what did he do? Lydia comes back over with her laptop in her hands. everyone crowds around the computer screen to see what they made me. the first thing that flashes across the screen is happy birthday sarah!

Soon the screen gets black again but then a picture fills the screen. its a picture of me and Jerome when we first met, we are in the hospital all beat up. I let out a smile and more pictures come and go. There was a picture of me in Disney with Jackson holding me like a baby and another one of me and Jerome under the ifle tower (I still don't know how to spell it don't judge) it was all he memories from this year and last year from the day we met to this day. I started to get tears of joy in my eyes and Ty gives me a big bare hug. "we also fixed up something for you." Jason puts a disc in the computer and I hear my voice come on then I instantly remember. It's the song royals that sky and I sang. "I forgot about this!" I say. Jason and sky look at me smile, I smile back at them and I lay my head on Jerome's shoulder. "happy birthday baby girl." he whispers.
