Beep. Beep. Beep.
I thought death was supposed to be quiet. And peaceful and whatever. But this wasn't that.
At all.
I could hear this constant loud beeping noise. I wish I could turn the god damn thing off.
And what's with the smell?
It smells as if someone flooded a hallway with disinfectant or something. Gross.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
God, that was so damn annoying.
I turned my head the opposite way of the noise, hoping to block it out.
"Oh. . .Oh my god!" I heard a familiar soft voice say beside me.
I just ignored it though, until I heard the same voice scream,"Hey! You, yeah you, doctor guy. Get the hell in here, now!"
I heard the sound of feet quickly coming my way, and then all of a sudden I felt as if I was surrounded.
I could hear lots of female voices, and one man's voice. I could also hear the same familiar voice saying something like,"Please be okay.", but I just ignored all of it, I felt too dizzy to register what was going on.
I felt myself drift off into a deeper black sleep than the one I was in. Maybe I'll find some quieter place, then I can think about stuff. Even though I have nothing to think about. Because I'm dead, right?
As I was drifting off, I felt something tug on my eye, and suddenly I was blinded by a very bright light. I wanted to lift my hand to cover my eyes but I couldn't, my arms felt flat and heavy so I gave up and let the light be shone.
I felt something shock my body. It didn't really hurt, it just surprised me is all. I tried to open my mouth to protest but then I felt something sharp and pointy being shoved into my wrist, and I cried out in pain, bolted up and opened my eyes.
My eyes widened even more at the sight around me.
Wait. What the hell? I'm dead, why am I-
"OH MY GOD TYLER!"
I felt something hard hit against my body, and pulled back to see that it was Lucy. Wait a second. Was Lucy dead too? Or am I dreaming some crazy death dream?
"Tyler!"she shouted again, kissing all over my face.
She stared at me and then pulled away for a second; pouting.
I just stared back at her in confusion. What was going on...?
I opened my mouth to ask this but Lucy started shouting at me."Tyler you ass! You nearly gave me a freaking heart attack, I. . .Oh my God."
I still just stared at her, more confused. She put a shaky hand up to her chest and tried to slow down her breathing.
Lucy grabbed my hands and looked into my eyes. "I thought you were dead honey."
She kept her gaze locked on my eyes. She looked like she cared so much that it was hard to look at.
I looked away and scanned the room I was in.
Plain white walls, light green curtains, a chair beside the bed I was lying in. The bed was guarded by thick metal bars and my head was raised up by the front of the bed.
I noticed other people in the room too; lots of them. Four women, three brunettes and one blonde standing clustered together in green uniforms that matched the curtains. And one man, standing slightly apart from them, with a white coat, glasses and a stethoscope around his neck.
