I SHALL NOT conform

Dear society,

Will my stomach ever be flat enough to dissolve my insecurity?

Will my thighs ever be small enough to not be considered fat?

Will my face ever be beautiful enough to be adored?

Will my figure be perfect enough to be wanted?

Will my personality be good enough to get good friends?

Will my confidence be bold enough for me to walk proud?

Will my actions be good enough to be rewarded?

No. they won't. In society's eyes, you can never be good enough. there's always someone better. but that's coming from the society that decided to judge people by their skin color before their person. that's the society that judged a person by their religion before their personality. That very society decided that someone's wealth is more important that their morals.

I will not follow that society's rules.

I will stand out.

I will not be ashamed of being myself.

I will show people that their words do hurt, but will never change who I am.

I will rise up and do to others what I wish were to be done to me.

If I show kindness first, I shall recieve kindness.

For I would rather have very few friends or no friends, but still be myself, that have lots of friends, but have conformed into society's standards.

I will not be shaped into the world, but shape the world.

I will rise to the occasion, not change to the expectations.

I will stand up for the broken, for I uave been in their place.

I will stand for the "unwanted". for I have felt that way.

I will stand for the hurt, for I have been hurt too!

I will stand for the cast-aways, for I have felt that way.

I will not conform to the world, but change the world.

AN: If you agree to take a pledge to be different, comment "I will change the world" we can change the world, one person at a time.
