My Light Within The Darkness (Yami x Yugi)

Chapter 12

**Heyo! Finally time for me to write chapter 12. I have two other puzzleshipping fics planned for the future. I don't know when I will start those. It will probably be when I finish the two other fics besides this one cause I quite frankly don't know how long this ones gonna last or how I'm gonna end it. Anyways lets get to it!**

Yugi's POV

We approached the ocean and we were undeniably happy to see it. "Thank Ra we are at the ocean," says Marik. "Yeah, where's the boat," asks Tristan. I look down the coast and see a dock with a boat. "Guys," I say and point down the way. We make our way to the dock and when we get there, we see a figure standing by the boat. I push them into a group and crouch in front of them. I glare in the direction of the figure in the shadows. "Who are you," I ask. "Calm down Yugi-boy I knew you guys were coming," says the figure.

"Pegasus," I ask. "Why yes.I was told by a certain someone that you were coming," he says stepping out of the shadows. "You knew Caius," I ask. "Yes, he was the one who helped me start my city. He contacted me and told me you guys were headed this way and that you were now a vampire Yugi," he says. "Well since you know everything, you should know that we're here to enter your city," I say. "You are right. I do know that is why you're here. The humans are free to enter, but Yugi I do have to have to test you," he says.

"Why do you insist on picking on Yugi," asks Anzu. "I just need to be sure that he won't hurt anyone is all. The test is simple," he says and then a smell assaults my nose. He holds out his hand which has blood on it from a bag. "Do you seriously think that's gonna make me tick," I say crossing my arms. "Come here and stick your nose in it," says Pegasus. I roll my eyes and walk up and sniff his hand and even put it on my fingers. "How is your control so high," he asks. "I have my friends for motivation," I say.

"Alright you are all permitted to enter my island. I'll explain rules once we get there," he says. We all hop onto the boat with a sigh of relief to be moved by something other than our feet. Yami wraps his arm around me and I lean into him. I relax into my mate. 'It's nice to finally be able to just sit and let someone else do the work,' he says through the link. 'I know. I can't wait till we can just spend time together alone,' I say nuzzling his neck. "How am I not surprised at these events," says Pegasus.

I eye him from Yami's neck. "Didn't Caius tell you," says Yami. "Well he did, but he mainly told me to observe and see for myself how the circumstances have changed," he says. Yami buries his face in my hair. "I can tell that you both have been through a lot. I am happy to house you in light of recent events," says Pegasus. "Really, you are just going to let us in just like that," asks Joey. "Why yes. That is why I created my city in the first place. It's a safe haven for humans and vampires who have learned to respect the humans," he says looking at Yugi.

Yami holds me tight remembering the night I was turned. A tear falls down his eye and he thinks about how he failed. "Not true," I say and he looks at me. "You didn't fail me Atemu. There was absolutely nothing that you could have done to prevent the events from happening. I was doomed from the start of that and if you did come back for me, you would have died there," I say cupping his face. "He's right you know. Yami, fate made Yugi a vampire for a reason and he got you all here and away from that joke that Raphael calls a city. Such little respect he has for life," says Pegasus.

"We were unregistered inside that city," says Ishizu. "So we had it the worst out of everyone. We had to did from trash for food," says Malik. "That won't be a problem anymore," says Pegasus. Yami still felt guilty. I kiss him on the lips. 'It's ok Mou Hitori No Boku,' I say through the link. Just like that he opened his eyes and the guilt melted away. It gave away to his love for me. 'Thank you Aibou,' he says and kisses my forehead. 'No problem my mate,' I say and purr for him. He relaxes completely.
