My Light Within The Darkness (Yami x Yugi)

Chapter 20

**Hey guys! Time for chapter 20. I did leave you guys with a cliff hanger. No promises that there won't be no more. Haha I am so evil. I am also going to twist this a little bit and give you Yami's POV.**

Yami's POV

I can sense the uneasiness in my Aibou. Then all of a sudden pain and shock flow through me. "No," I yell. 'Aibou,' I yell through the mind link. I rush out of the building and towards where I felt his last location. 'Bandit Keith,' I hear him whimper through the link. 'Yugi, my Aibou what's going on,' I yell through the link, but he has shut it off. I roar as I run faster than I ever ran before. I put some of the fastest vampires in the city to shame. I finally round the corner to where I last felt him.

I look around and don't see him. Wait, he said Bandit Keith. Did he do this? I take in the scent in hopes that I can track him. I smell the sweet scent of his blood. Oh Ra no. I look down and see a large pool of it. I stick one finger in it and shakily bring it up to my nose. It's Yugi's blood. I roar out in pain as I know that my mate has been hurt. I hear my friends coming up behind me. "Yami, what's going on," asks Anzu. I just growl. "Whoa everyone back up now," says Seto. "But why," asks Tristan.

"He's feral now and should not be touched. I suspect he can't feel Yugi right now," says Seto. Joey ignores him and walks up to me and squats down next to me. I give him a glare in warning, but he ignores that and gives me a hug. I make a move to struggle, but I find that I can't. I just fall into his hug crying and roaring at my lost mate. What can I do? I can't feel him and I can't track. Whomever has him really doesn't want me to find him. I hear another set of footsteps run up.

"What happened here," asks Pegasus. "Yugi is missing and Yami can't track him through the bond," says Seto. "Oh no," he says. "What can we do," asks Ryou. "Well there isn't a whole lot we can do. The best tracker is Yami because of his bond with Yugi. The fact that his bond is being blocked has me worried. It means that there is a force at work that could have devastating effects on anyone who comes near it," says Pegasus. "Yugi has mentioned that a dark force has plagued his dreams before," says Ryou.

He gasps. "Oh no. I hope we aren't too late," says Pegasus who gets out his cell. "Send down Solomon," he says. They all gasp at the name. "Does this mean," asks Tristan. "Yes it does," says a voice behind them. They turn and see none other than Solomon Muto. "No way," says Malik who holds onto Marik. Solomon walks up to me and Joey and lifts up my chin. "Calm down Yami. We will get Yugi back," he says. "How? I can't feel him. I feel as though I died inside," I say. "Look deeper Yami. As much as they try to block your bond, they can't fully block it," he says.

He rubs my shoulder. "Concentrate Yami. Use your emotions and look deep inside you. You will find him Pharaoh," he says. I look up at him and nod. I look deep within my heart. I call on the power of my Millennium Puzzle and pull on my bond. It clears it up a little. I can feel him and he's alive. I open my eyes and tears fall. "He's alive, but he's out like a light. I don't know what they did to him, but he is alive," I say. "Good job my boy. Now use the bond and let it drag you to where he is," he says.

I close my eyes and call on the bond again and tell it to guide me to him. My puzzle glows in a golden light as it helps in guiding me towards my bond. I open my eyes. "Yugi," I say and start walking off in the direction that it guides me. I hold onto our bond like a lifeline. I am coming for you Yugi. Please hold on. I will be there soon.

Yugi's POV

My head is pounding and my whole body aches. I look up and see that my wrists trapped in bear traps. "Keith, you crazy deranged bastard," I whisper. "Oh thank you for your kind words Yugi," he says. I growl at him. My arms and clothes were soaked in blood. It was seriously exhausting between blocking my bond with Atem and the blood I lost. He lifts my chin and smirks at me. He licks up the side of my face. "Your blood is divine," he says and moans. I flinch in disgust. "Let's not play with the prisoner. We need to initiate our plan. His mate is on the way," says a voice.

I look up and see Rebecca Hawkins! "Why am I not surprised," I say. "Oh shut up Yugi. All you had to do was say yes to me when I asked you out, but you didn't and now look at you," she says with a laugh. "I wouldn't be with you if you were the last living object on earth. I'd pick an animal over you," I spit at her. She growls at me. "Get me the knife. We need to get started," she growls. One of the males hands her a knife with symbols on it that I don't recognize. She walks up to me with a smirk. I'm gonna wipe it off her face in a minute.

"You see Yugi, the only reason your not dead is because the king doesn't want you dead. He actually wants you as his earthly vessel, but you must be tested first. He needs to know if you are gonna be able to handle it," she says. She grips its handle and holds It in front of her. She bows and starts chanting some words in a language I don't understand. Then she slashes my neck before attaching her mouth. It is painful. She isn't my mate so no other is permitted to taste my blood.

My control on our bond slips away. 'Yugi,' I hear Yami yell through the link. 'Yami stay away. She will get you too,' I say. 'Who is she and I am coming. I refuse to leave you there,' he says. 'Rebecca, I'm sorry Atem. My Yami,' I say and close it again. "Come to me my dark children," she whispers and the shadows seem to move toward her and they melt into her. "Darkness do my bidding and take this being as my offering to you. Test him to see if he is worthy of our king," she says.

After she says that, they rush me and sink into my skin. The burning pain is blinding. I scream as I feel it fill and taint me. My dream is coming true. I am being consumed by Darkness. After it's over, I feel different. More powerful and more deadly. I want to kill. She motions to the males to leave the room with her. "He's here," she says. "You bitch. Get me outta here," I yell. "Have fun with your mate," she says as she walks out. "I outta disembowel you," I yell. I feel like I am hanging there for another couple of minutes when Yami bursts through the door.

"Oh Ra Aibou," he yells running up to me. I growl at him and he stops. "Yugi, what is going on? It's me Yami, your mate," he says. I am not controlling myself and I smirk evilly at him. Pegasus runs in and he gasps. "We're too late," he whispers. "Of course you are you buffoon. Now release me or face consequences," I say. Yami starts to move towards me, but Pegasus stops him. "Don't do it. Yugi is still in there yes, but Darkness has gotten to him. Only someone who can control it can remove it from him," he says.

"Can I? I can control shadow magic. Is it any different," Yami asks. "Well you are welcome to try, but I don't know how well it will work," he says. He closes his eyes and concentrates on his shadow magic and I can feel the Darkness start to pull toward him. "I can, but I don't think I can remove it. I think I can separate from his heart so his decisions will be his own," he says. "Stay away from me you spineless freak," I say. Yami I am so sorry. He walk up to me and places his hands on my face.

He brings his face to mine and kisses me. I gain my control back and kiss him back. His tongue enters my mouth and curls around mine. I moan into the kiss and he places his hands on my chest. I feel his shadow magic start to enter me. I moan in pain. "I'm sorry my Hikari," he says and his shadow magic starts to rip the Darkness away from my soul. He manipulates it and rips the dark soul within it away and pull it out of my body. With a scream, I feel his shadow magic pull away from me.

I sigh in relief and slump the bear traps rip my wrists open some more and more blood drips down my arms. Yami quickly banishes the soul to the Shadow Realm and picks me up to give the traps some slack. "Wrap your legs around my waist baby," he whispers. I obey him and wrap my legs around his waist to support myself. He takes off the bear traps and I slump against him. He wraps his arms around me and carries me. "Let's go before anyone else shows up," he says and we all leave. "Thank you," I whimper and bury my face in his neck and fall asleep.
