Chapter 16

Yugi's POV

Tonight is the night that I will finally change Atem into a vampire like me. I was training with Seto and he was getting very tired of me being distracted. "Come on Yugi, there is obviously something distracting you," he says crossing his arms. "Well I'm gonna turn Yami tonight after the mating ritual and I guess I am just nervous," I say sitting down against the wall. "I don't think you have any reason to be nervous. Yami trusts you with his life. Your his mate and Hikari. You just need to trust yourself," he says.

I nod. He is right. I need to stop doubting myself. "I think that's enough for the day. You should prepare to change him. Where were you gonna do it," he asks. "In our apartment," I say. "I must say that it has a very Egyptian feel to it. A thorough mix of both of your personalities," he says. "Yeah Pegasus designed it with both of us in mind. He took the style of Ancient Egypt and gave a slightly more modern feel and it suited us both," I say. "Joey and I have talked about bonding and we want you and Yami there as witnesses," he says.

"Sure, we'd be happy to be there," I say with a smile. "Thanks and you should go to him and spend the rest of the day with him," he says and gives me a small smile. Did puppies just die? He doesn't ever smile. "Thanks Seto," I say and head upstairs. I open the door to my apartment and don't smell Yami. I look at the fridge and see a note. It says that he's gone out to visit some friends. I take this opportunity to go retrieve the knife from a bag I hid from Yami. It was a ceremonial knife that I got from Pegasus yesterday while Yami was asleep.

He said it was gift that he gives every couple that are getting ready to mate. Usually it's two vampires mating, but I actually get to change my own mate. I take it and set it on the bedside table. The red jewel shines in the light and I smile. I hear a knock on the door and go open it. Pegasus is standing there. "Hello Pegasus," I say and step aside and let him in. "So Yugi have you been preparing yourself for this night," he asks. "Yeah I have. It's a big step for us both and I know that we are both ready. I'm just nervous," I say.

"Everyone who has changed their own mates was nervous before. You at least have changed someone before and know how it's done," he says. "Yeah, but I honestly think its a good nervous. I mean I'm excited to finally do this with him," I say. "That's good Yugi. I just came to see how you were doing. He should be back at any time know so I will leave you to it. Just remember he loves you no matter what," he says before walking out. I smile at the door. I watch some tv for a while then I smell him coming down the hall.

I look at him when the door opens. "Hey, how were our friends," I ask. "They were fine. They asked where you were, but I told them you were training Kaiba. How did that go," he asks wrapping his arms around me from behind. "It went fine. He's getting better," I say and he rubs my chest and kisses my neck. I open my neck more to him and groan. "So how have you been on this fine day," he says and picks me up off the couch. "Well training went great and then I came back up here and watched tv," I say as he walks to our bedroom.

"Well my day was boring at least till I went out and now my day is great," he says with a smirk as he lays me on the bed. I pull him down on top of me and smile at him. He gives me a smile back before kissing me. I open my mouth to him and he eagerly starts to explore my mouth with his tongue. I suck on it as he explores my mouth and runs his hands along my body. I moan into him as his hands run over my clothed package. He pulls away and looks into my eyes. I lean my forehead against his and nod.

He takes that as my ok and smashes his mouth to mine. I feel like my whole body is on fire, but I gotta control myself. I moan at the force he uses. He slips his hands down to my shirt and slips them under it. He runs his hand up my body as he slowly takes my black top off. Our teeth and tongues clash until we have to pull away to get my shirt off. He tosses it to the ground and moves down to my neck. He peppers kisses up and down my neck and takes off my necklace and puzzle before setting them on the table.
