My Light Within The Darkness (Yami x Yugi)

Chapter 24

Yugi's POV

I wake up in bed next to Yami after last night. He let me take him for once. I smile and get up and head to the kitchen. I prepare two blood goblets and bring them back into the bedroom. I sit down next to him and place them on the nightstand. He's still sleeping soundlessy. That probably took a lot out of him. I reach over and run my fingers through his spiked hair. His eyes open slightly and he looks up at me and smiles. "Hey baby," he says. "Hey Mou Hitori how are you feeling this morning," I ask.

"Oh I'm fine. I'm a bit sore, but I'll be fine," he says and kisses me. His satin-like lips move against mine and I caress his cheek. I pull away and smile at him. "I have a blood goblet if you'd like one," I say and he nods and I hand it to him. He drinks it slowly. I drink mine. "Is there another meeting today," he asks. "Yeah, this ones about the rise in dark being sightings throughout the city," I say. "I've felt it shifting greatly. You think its prepping for something," he asks. I nod.

"Look at what it did to me. I mean you have your shadow magic which is similar, but that depends on the wielder," I say. "Hey the same goes for you. I don't see you fighting on the side of Darkness. Your powers may be tied to it, but you don't use them for bad reasons," he says. "They make me want to sometimes. It's like a little voice tugging me in a direction. I can usually ignore it," I say. "That's great Aibou. The fact that you can stand up to it and not be tempted is an amazing thing," he says.

I nod and stand. "We've got to get ready for the meeting," I say. I help him up and we both shower real quick. No nothing happened much to his dismay. Yami was still in the mood from last night, but I knew if we started we wouldn't be on time. I got out and dried and styled my hair. Yami came in from our room with his hair done and our uniforms as city leaders. It was a simple robe worn over whatever you desire. I put on my black pants and tank underneath mine and Yami did the same.

We headed over to the meeting room which was on the top floor. We got in and Pegasus was the only one there. "Are we early," I ask. "No I just wanted you two here for this one. The others didn't agree, but they don't understand Darkness as much as you two," he says. "Well they should be here. Maybe they can get a better understanding of it if they come to witness our meeting," says Yugi. "Never thought of that. I guess your right," he says and dials his secretary to call the rest of them here.

Within minutes, the rest arrive and take their seats. "Ok it was Yugi's idea that you guys be present while we talk so you have a better understanding on these matters," says Pegasus. Grandpa Solomon walks in. "Sorry I'm late. Had to help a little boy on my way here," he says. "That's quite alright. Just have a seat so we can get started," says Pegasus and he takes his seat. "Alright as you all know there has been a substantial rise in sightings of dark beings roaming around the city. The citizens are becoming a bit worried," says Pegasus.

"About how many a day," asks Yami. "Roughly 20 a day," says Solomon. "You roam the streets more than we do. How are the people reacting to the sightings," asks Pegasus. "There's been a steady increase in gun purchases across all sectors," says one of the councilmen. "That means the people are starting to be afraid of what's going on here," says Pegasus. "Well I can tell you guys this right now that there is a rise in their activity. It could mean they are planning something and it could be big," says Yami.

Pegasus nods. "Could it be something like they did to you Yugi? A mass take over of minds," he asks. "Yeah it could. They could want to enslave the living with the souls of the evil ones who want to escape from the pit they reside in," I say. "Is there a thing we can do to prevent it," asks a councilwoman. "Unfortunately until we know what it is that they are planning, it's impossible to prevent," says Yami. Pegasus pinches the bridge of his nose. "What are they capable of," he asks.

"I've learned not to ask that question. I've learned to say that they could be capable of just about anything," I say. "So we need to expect anything," says a councilman. "Yes, expect anything and everything or you will possibly get overtaken," I say. "There has to be something we can do," says Pegasus. "Warn the people, prepare them, and show them what to look for," says Yami. "Alright we will film a video that will play on the screen in the houses and businesses. Hopefully everyone sees it, if not most," says Pegasus.

Of course me and Yami get picked to be put in front of the camera. The filming though wasn't that bad. After that was done, we went back to our apartment to rest and relax. It's about 30 minutes later that the whole gang minus Joey and Seto comes in. "Dude you were on TV," says Marik. "Yeah we got asked to film an information clip for the people so we did it," says Yami. "It was still cool," says Bakura. "Yeah yeah they were on TV for an info clip about shadow creatures," says Tristan.

I raise an eyebrow. "It's what the people are calling them now," says Anzu. "Well they're not very far from it," I say. "Alright what aren't you telling us," says Malik. "Well these creatures are the same ones that tried to take Yugi from us and that there's something big going on," says Yami. "That's it," says Marik. "Yeah they are very secretive creatures. Even the ones loyal to us won't talk about it," I say. "So is that all they're going to do," asks Anzu. "It's all they can do for now," I say. Joey and Seto come in then. "Puppy calm down," says Seto. "But nothing Seto. What are these creepy shadowy things that are supposedly running around outside," yells Joey.

Seto just shrugs his shoulders. "Those creatures that tried to take me over," I say. "That's not good," says Joey. "No it's a great thing puppy," says Seto. Joey looks ready to kick his ass. "So Seto when are you going to turn him? You've been thoroughly trained," I ask. "Actually tomorrow since we've done the bonding ceremony already," says Seto. "Yugi can we talk for a second," asks Marik. "Yeah me too," says Bakura. "Sure," I say and guide them to the game room. "What's up guys," I ask.

"We want to be turned," says Marik. "What? Are you guys serious," I ask. "Yeah Yugi. We're both getting very nervous about everything and well we both talked it over with our partners and each other and we want to be apart of this group and with our loves forever," says Bakura. "You guys have really thought about this haven't you," I say. They both nod. "Ok when would you guys like this done," I ask. "Tonight," they both say. "Why am I not surprised," I say. I nod. "Alright I will," I say. They thank me and we go back to the others.
