Chapter 9

Lexi's POV:

"How did you two meet?" I asked Niall and Sarah.

"We met a party" Niall quickly said and went red, which was cute as I could tell he really liked her.

"Yeah I was really drunk" Sarah added "but I seemed to have remembered him. I did kiss a few other guys that night but Niall was the one I really liked" Niall was looking down at the floor he probably felt really uncomfortable about what Sarah had just said which made me wonder was she as innocent as she made out to be.

"Niall get over here" I heard a familiar voice call. I turned around and it was Louis. When he saw me he looked at me for a moment then quicklylooked away.

Niall went over to Louis and they were whispering to each other. I couldn't hear what they were saying over the music, but I knew that there was a problem by the tone of Louis' voice.

"Is that Louis?" Sarah asked me.

"Yeah it is" I mumbled.

"Why do you look so sad?" she asked me, I hadn't even realised that I looked sad but I guessed it was normal as we had only recently broke up.

"Oh it's just that we broke up last week" as soon as I said it I felt like a knife had been stabbed in my chest. The pain was still there it still hadn't been a week but it would be on Sunday.

"Really, you and Louis?" she said a bit too loud and Niall and Louis stopped talking and looked at us.

"Sarah can you come here for a minute" Niall said to her and she looked up at him confused.

"But we're having a good conversation" she whined.

"Please" he said softly which made her give in and they went to talk over in the corner.

The were talking for ages and I looked like a loner sitting by myself and I had no clue where Charlie went so looked around for Harry. There were multiple rooms in Niall's house it was hard to find my way around. Even though I'd been there loads of times I would still always get lost.

I found Harry sitting around the dining table with other people who I recognised from college. There were lots of plastic cups on the table and beer cans so I assumed they were playing a drinking game.

"Lexi come sit over here" Harry shouted to me from the other side of the room and the people one the table looked over at me most of them were girls.

"So how are things with you and Louis?" Matt asked me when I sat down. He was smirking he knew exactly what had happened but I knew he said it to piss me off.

"Fine" I said and fake smiled to pretend his comment didn't bother me. I swallowed the lump in my throat and blinked to stop tears forming in my eyes. I took Harry's cup out of his hand and drank the whole thing. It burned my throat but I didn't care.

"Why the hell did you do that for" Harry half yelled at me.

"What I'm thirsty" I snapped at him.

"That's 50% pure alcohol you idiot" he said under his breath so the rest of the table couldn't hear.

"Oops" I said and giggled.

"I'm getting you some water" Harry said and walked into the kitchen.

"Do you wanna play?" some girl next to me said.

"Yeah sure" I said not knowing what the game actually was, but I knew alcohol was involved as the table was full of cups and bottles.

"Good we're playing never have I ever" she said and smiled.
