Chapter 9- Chase's New Girl?

Bree's POV

Coming to school on Monday was defiantly weird. Over the weekend, lots of huge things happened. Us getting Delaynee, finding out some of her bionics and finding out Chase was firing his forcefield at Davenport. It gave me a weird feeling in my stomach. Delaynee was at home, training. Doing what we did for 10+ years.

Throughout all of the day, something always reminded me of Delaynee. 3rd period Social Studies was a home- hitter for me. We were talking about community heroes. Delaynee Crawford had just won "FireFighter of the Year". The name just kept bouncing in my head. UHG! I just wanted it away.

5th period Science talked about the reality of Superheroes and powers. That made me think of bionics and then Delaynee again.

At the end of the day, I was exhausted. We had a early morning mission training session like old days. Delaynee slept right through it.

It was just around 3:20 and the school was like a ghost town. I walked down the staircase and I could hear some people kissing. What idiot would do that right in front if Perry's office. She would get her cat magazine out and smack you with it. I have a paper cut from when I was dating Owen. I missed Owen. The break- up in my mind was still fresh and hurting.

As I veered the corner I noticed the couple... Chase?

I guess he noticed me because Chase and the girl stopped making out.

"Oh, hey Bree." Chase said nervously.

"Hi..." I responded.

"This is Gage" Chase introduced the girl he was just attached to.

Now I knew that girl. Gage Night. The most popular girl in school. How did Chase ever land her?

"Hey, sorry to interrupt. Just need to use the front door." I said, running out.

After I walked away, I look at Chase again and they were making out again. This was going to be an interesting night :)

When I got home Adam and Delaynee were watching a movie. I plopped on the couch and Delaynee grabbed me a blanket.

"How was your day, Delaynee?" I asked.

"Ok. I was training the ENTIRE day, but I found a little bionic ability! Adam, ready?" She said.

Adam and Delaynee stood up and held hands. Their bodies were made of blue dots and then Delaynee was in Adam's spot and Adam was in Delaynee's spot.

"I already knew you could geo- leap." I said.

"I didn't teleport. I shape shifted!"

Adam said, who was apparently Delaynee said.

They held hands again and they were normal.

"That is so cool!" I said.

Chase's POV

Gage and I were linked as one. I was using a new bionic ability that I found kissing her. I could send Euphoria to weaken someone's mind. It worked on Gage, but then bounced back onto me, making me weak and only one thing in mind. Kissing Gage. I heard footsteps coming down the staircase and I didn't react until I saw it was Bree. This was going to be an awkward night.

After Bree left, Gage and I kissed again. After about a minute I decided it was going to fast and I stopped sending the Euphoria.

"See ya tomorrow." Gage said.

I think I just got a girlfriend :)

Bree's POV

By the end of the movie, Delaynee and I were crying. Adam was still trying to figure out why it was called "Titanic". Right after the credits rolled, Chase walked in. The moment I was waiting for.

"Hey Player, how was you makeout session?" I asked.

"Wow! Hold up! Chase landed a girl? She can't be pretty!" Adam said, in disbelief.

"Why do you guys care?" Chase said rolling his eyes

" You were kissing Gage Night! What bionic helped you?" I sarcastically said.

"A new one. I can send a wave of euphoria." Chase said.

"You need to stop getting new bionics! The Telekenisis, then the Levitation and now this Euphoria. Adam and I have one!" I said.

"Dude! You can levitate????" Delaynee said.

Chase nodded and levitated about 3 feet of the ground and then touched ground again.

"This is the only time you'll ever be taller than me!!" Adam said.

"Yeah but I have a bionic advantage!" Chase said.

"Not really." Adam said and then punched him in the stomach.

Chase pouted then left the living room for the lab.

"You guys attack each other with you bionics?" Delaynee said.

"Yah!" Adam said.

"So I could just do anything and I wouldn't get in trouble?" She asked.

"Yeah, not in public though." Adam said.

Then she looked at Adam with a blank stare. She was reading him. Why was she being so random. Adam stared at her with a blank expression too.

After a few seconds, her face returned to normal.

"Why'd you read him?" I asked

"Now that I knew it wasn't a rule, I wanted to see if he knew anything about Chase attacking Davenport. He did.." She trailed off.

"Oh my gosh, WHAT!!" I said.

Why were they attacking him? Was I attacking him too?

" They were extracting our chips. Me and you." Delaynee said.
