Frick. Marcus is coming and if he sees me awake and on my phone, well, I'll just say it won't be pretty.

I clutch the covers and pull them over my naked chest. Yea, I sleep with no shirt on. Not the weirdest thing you've ever heard. I tuck my phone under my fluffed pillow and close my eyes, trying to steady my breathing.

Not working.

Oh frick, he's right outside my door.

When the door opens, I expect to see him with his eyes cold and hard, belt in his calloused hands, ready to beat me. Instead, I see a beautiful girl who looks about 16 years old. She walks in with a smile and for some reason, I smile back.

WAIT WHAT?! The mighty Four smiled at a girl?! What the frick? The girl leans in and whispers, "My name's Tris."

Then, she disappears.

Tris

Ok, so before I go into how crappy it is to get up at friggin 5 in the morning, I will talk about myself.

Hi. My name is Beatrice Prior, AKA Tris Prior. I am 16 years old and have absolutely NEVER dated a boy before. I know, I know, since I'm 16 I must've dated somebody, right?

Well, no. I've never really found the right guy for me. All of them are either too self-conscious, too honest, too brave (doing everything JUST because they wanted to), too peaceful (never get involved in anything), or too smart. I just want a guy who wants to be all of those! Sadly, there's literally no one in the world like that anymore.

I have to go to school in the morning, so I race up to my room, put on my pink and purple polka dotted PJs, and lay in my bed. Soon, my eyelids get heavy, and I allow myself to close them.

----------------------------------------------

I get up and everything was a blur. I basically brushed my teeth, ate breakfast, got changed, and left.

I go outside to get my car and I realize: My frickin car is gone.

My mom and dad sent it somewhere to get the color switched or get it fixed or something, so now I don't have a way to get to school.

Great. Perfect. While I'm cursing my life, I see a black car coming down the neighbor's driveway. The car comes and parks in my driveway, and a man rolls his window down.

I walk up and say, "Hi, my name's Tris. I was actually wondering is you could drive me to school? I usually wouldn't ask, but my car is outta town and --"

"Oh, no no, don't apologize, it's totally cool. I'm always lonely in this stupid car anyways. Hop in!" He interrupts, coming out of the car and opening my door for me. Wow, he is such a gentleman!

"Oh my God, thank you so much, er," I stopped because I didn't know his name yet. He laughed, and God was it one cute laugh.

"Oh, call me Four. It's what everyone calls me." He says, clapping a hand on my shoulder and staring into my eyes for a second. Then, he turns towards the wheel and starts pulling out of the driveway.

"Ok, Four." I say smiling. I swear this guy just changed my life.

Oh. My. God. Tris, beautiful girl, this is like my dream!

I actually thought I would never say this, but I think I may have a crush on her already! And I only just met her like 20 seconds ago! Way to make an impression, Four. Good job buddy!

I turned on my absolute favorite singer, Adam Levine, and the first song that comes on is Animals.

I turn to see Tris tapping her feet to the beat and slightly bobbing her head up and down, as she sings the lyrics. The edges of my mouth turn up a little in a small smile as I listen to her beautiful voice, as it puts me into a sort of trance while I drive.

Baby, I'm praying on you tonight

Hunt you down, eat you alive

Just like Animals,

Animals,

Like animals-mals.

Baby, you think that you can hide,

I can smell your scent for miles,

Just like Animals,

Animals,

Like animals-mals.

I love this girl. She is just so beautiful and just, perfect.

She turns to see me staring at her. I had just parked the car at Divergent High, and now I was just sitting here, watching this beautiful girl sing. She turns a deep shade of scarlet and says, "I'm sorry, I know I'm a terrible singer. I'll just go outs --" and I interrupt her in the middle of her sentence, gently grabbing her chin.

"Don't you apologize, Tris. That was the most beautiful singing I've ever heard. Thank you." I say, stroking her chin. She grins and grabs my arm, looking into my eyes for a second, before turning and opening her door, going inside the school.

I think that Tris has permanently made an impact in my life; changed it forever.

And I love her for it.
