A/N I can't believe that this is chapter 10 already! I'm loving writing this story, and I hope you guys are enjoying reading it! I might make this a series, but I'm debating whether to or not. Please please please comment if I should or not. It would help me a lot. Ok I'm done rambling, ONWARD WITH THE STORY!! 😊
Tris
I walked into school, and for some weird reason, Marcus was there. He turned to me, and he smiled evilly.
"You're coming with me young lady. I have to show you something you'll never forget," he says, grabbing my arm and holding tight. I was in so much shock, I didn't even try to fight back.
We walked to Dauntless, and turned to go into his house. He opened the door and, like the fool I am, I entered. He then led me upstairs into a room; a glass room.
Suddenly, he pushed me in and closed the door, leaving me inside, and with 1 other room next to me. There was a big window in the other room, and I could see through it.
Marcus entered the room, and I saw him say something I couldn't hear. Tobias came out of the closet—which Marcus had just unlocked—and stood in front of his father. Marcus grinned and looked at me.
Tobias turned to the window, too, but he looked at it like he was confused. Like he couldn't see anything.
      Like he couldn't see me.
All of a sudden, Marcus had a belt in his hand, raising it over his head. I screamed, screamed for Tobias to turn, to be careful, to see me.
He got hit over and over again, and he would cower down, throwing his arms up to protect his head. I screamed over and over again, screaming, "Tobias! Oh my God, Tobias, no! Stop, stop, stop, please! Please, leave him alone, it should be me! Please, Marcus!"
I threw myself at the glass, throwing my shoulder against it, wishing, hoping, praying that it somehow break. I didn't stop, not when my shoulder started burning, not when my hands got cut and my bangs on the wall became less and less frequent. My body finally gave into exhaustion after 5 minutes of banging.
I started sobbing, and I sank to my knees, pulling my hands to my face. The only thoughts going through my head were: I can't help him. Please let this be a dream.

Tobias
I was sleeping, having a dreamless sleep, when suddenly Tris starts thrashing against me. I jump up, suddenly completely awake, and Tris starts crying and screaming, "Tobias, no! Stop, stop, stop, please! Please, Marcus!"
I realized she was having a nightmare, so I pulled her against my chest and said, "Tris, it's not real! It's just a dream, it's ok, wake up. It's ok, it's not real."
She curled up in a ball and started crying, still dreaming. She suddenly jerked awake, sitting up and hyperventilating. She looked around, her eyes wide. Her eyes found mine, both mine and hers full of tears.
"Oh my God, you're okay! Tobias, I'm sorry, it was a nightmare..." she says, curling into my arms again. I hold her against me, closing my eyes,  shedding a few tears, relieved that she's okay.
I kiss her cheek and mumble, "What was it about?" I wanted to say the dream, but it wasn't just a dream. More like a real life nightmare. She frowns, and I bring her closer to my side. She takes a deep breath, and wipes her hands on the sheets.
"It was... It was about you and... And Marcus. He took me to your house and started beating you and—" she starts crying and I wrap her in my arms tighter. And she closed her eyes and wraps her arms around my neck, kissing me softly.
"I love you, ya know," I say, kissing her forehead softly, laying back down.
"I know."
"I'll never leave you, okay?"
"Okay."
"Okay."

"I want more numbers than I'll likely get, and God, I want more numbers for Augustus Waters than he got. But, Gus, my love, I cannot tell you how thankful I am for our little infinity. You gave me a forever within the numbered days, and I'm grateful."
